FOX — The King of Cable

September 7, 2005 by GayPatriot

From MediaBistro:

FLASH — FNC [FoxNewsChannel] had 34 out of the 40 top programs in cable last week — not cable news — but all of CABLE, according to Nielsen. CNN had 2.

You know, at this rate, CNN is pretty much going to have to replace its news crawl with porn.

And even then, you’d have to tilt your neck to see it, so after roughly three minutes there’s a crick in your neck the size of a small willow tree, so you just throw your hands in the air and say “F*** this sh**!” and throw away the remote in disgust.

At least, that’s how things work at my house.

YAY, FOX! I’m watching O’Reilly now, as a matter of fact. And apparently so are bazillions of other Americans who’ve gotten tired of being lied to.

It had been a while since I watched Fox news but I too was focused on them all last week and this week as well. Shep and O’reilly have been very good. I get sick of O’reilly but his show has been very informative on this issue.

You are all kidding, right? The reason why so many people watch Fox News is BECAUSE of the sensationalism of its broadcast. Do you seriously think Fox isn’t manufacturing the news to fit the conservative demographic that watches their channel? If you choose to hear the news the way you THINK it should be, balanced in your political favor, then I think the outcome is very obvious. This is very sad. I’m discovering, much to my own chagrin, that many Americans choose to be entertained by media, in many forms, that only serves to reinforce their own bias…. here goes freedom of thought. This form of quasi-government propaganda has existed and still exists around the world.
Watch South American/ Latin news sometime… it’s all tabloid news… modern American news is bordering on this- it falls somewhere between fact and fiction.

This reminds me of how the Soviets use to speak of their newspaper Pravda- meaning “truth”… they said, “Pravda, ne Pravda”, meaning “the truth is not the truth

You seem to have waaaay too much free time to contemplate such trivial matters. And then only to arrive at the wrong conclusion. Just take off the tinfoil hat and back away slowly from the Kool-Aid.

So… Now that FoxNews is so dominant… can we expect them to stop complaining about how bad the Iraq War coverage is on the other networks, and just demonstrate what good coverage would look like? Pretty please?

Fox grinds on me like nothing else. It’s a shame the other cable networks are so bad and tilted to the left that Fox is the best choice we have…and then we have to defend them against &^%$s who can’t or won’t see the bias on the MSM.

Glad to see hottie Bill Hemmer there, though. Woof! And they dumped that raspy Rita Cosby broad…think I got a prank call from her just breathing the other night.

I say again, YAH FOX!!! Loving O’Reilly again tonight. Has anybody ever seen pictures of him? Big, tall man. And I mean BIG tall man. And big shoes, too!

And I agree with you Clint up there before. Did I ever tell you how much I think you are my kind of guy. Love a FOX-y man, and you sound FOX-y Cllint.

The reason why Fox is doing so well is because people are tired of being preached to by the left.
I don’t think CNN or MSNBC are bad news networks but if you put people on the air that has a agenda then let them announce what side they are with.
At least at Fox we know that they tilt to the right. CNN and MSNBC pretend to be fair but only report from the left.
Maybe if CNN would be alittle more Fair and Balanced they could recover some ratings.

Reader, if you’re going to pretend to be me, do me a favor and be significantly more clever. I wasn’t at all offended by what you wrote, if that was your intent, and was in fact fairly amused – but not surprised – at the amateurism of your effort.

Also, my name’s not spelled with a capital “G”.

    Idiot.
