GOP presidential victory in ‘08 inevitable?

If history is any guide, Republicans should again win the White House in 2008. You see, every time in U.S. history that Republicans have won successive presidential elections in years end in “0” and “4,” they also win the following presidential election — in a year ending in “8.”

1860 Lincoln; 1864 Lincoln; 1868 Grant.
1900 McKinley; 1904 T. Roosevelt; 1908 Taft.
1920 Harding; 1924 Coolidge; 1928 Hoover.
1980 Reagan; 1984 Reagan; 1988 H.W. Bush.
2000 W. Bush; 2004 W. Bush. . . .

Cheer up, Democrats, there’s always 2012. In only one of those aforementioned cycles, back in the 1800s, did the GOP win the election four years later. In 1872, Ulysses S. Grant was elected to a second term.

O’Reilly Vs. San Fran

I nearly doubled over in laughter when I read this item as I awoke this morning…..

O’Reilly Blasted For Coit Tower Comments –

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Supervisor Chris Daly is firing back at Fox News commentator Bill O’Reilly for comments he made on his radio show Wednesday that encouraged al-Qaida to “blow up” Coit Tower.

O’Reilly reacted to San Franciscans’ approval of Proposition I, which discourages military recruiters on public high school and college campuses.

Note to San Fran: I don’t advocate a terror attack on you. So I diverge with ole Bill on that part. But I wholeheartedly AGREE with the sentiment behind his remarks and support this proposal he made:

You know, if I’m the president of the United States, I walk right into Union Square, I set up my little presidential podium, and I say, “Listen, citizens of San Francisco, if you vote against military recruiting, you’re not going to get another nickel in federal funds. Fine. You want to be your own country? Go right ahead.” – via ThePoliticalTeen

Smokin’ Bill went over the line when he kept going, though…..

And if Al Qaeda comes in here and blows you up, we’re not going to do anything about it. We’re going to say, look, every other place in America is off limits to you, except San Francisco. You want to blow up the Coit Tower? Go ahead.

However, I say ‘BRAVO’ for the idea that we stop all Federal funding to San Francisco. Not only due to the vote to stop military recruiting, but also the fact that it has been San Fran LIBERALS that brazenly trampled on the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution by outlawing handgun ownership by residents.

Whatever world they live in… they can have it to themselves. I do not want any of MY tax money going to support a city that clearly does not want to be part of the United States of America. But I certainly don’t want to see these former Americans living in the People’s Republic of Cisco hurt in a terrorist attack. Bill hurt his point tremendously by continuing his rant. Sometimes you just need to stop talking… or blogging. *grin*

Bush Fights Back Against Democrat Terror Appeasers

“The stakes in the global War on Terror are too high, and the national interest is too important, for politicians to throw out false charges.

These baseless attacks send the wrong signal to our troops and to an enemy that is questioning America’s will.

As our troops fight a ruthless enemy determined to destroy our way of life, they deserve to know that their elected leaders who send them to war continue to stand behind them.

Our troops deserve to know that this support will remain firm when the going gets tough.

And our troops deserve to know that whatever our differences in Washington, our will is strong, our Nation is united, and we will settle for nothing less than victory.” — President George W. Bush, November 11, 2005

(Note… as Jordanians yell “to hell with Zarqawi”, elected US Democrats still think President Bush is the enemy and embrace the Michael Moore philosophy. That says a lot to me about the Liberals’ true desire to fight the War on Terror and protect me and my family and friends.)
