Iran Calls for US Exit From Iraq - BBC News

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has urged the visiting Iraqi president to push for a speedy pullout of foreign troops from his country.

The ayatollah also told Jalal Talabani that the US was mainly responsible for widespread violence in Iraq.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran holds the American government responsible for the suffering of the Iraqi people and all the crimes and assassinations now being committed in Iraq,” he said.

Wow. I heard all these same exact words from the Democrats on the floor of the United States House of Representatives, except they were spoken in English not Arabic.

Dan (GayPatriotWest) and I have a novel idea… how about a TERRORIST withdrawal from Iraq before any talk of a US/coalition withdrawal? Think of that!

  2. I heard that Iraqi leaders want a pull-out as well, well, I heard it from ABC News, which is basically communist! (owned by Disney… Arial from Little Mermaid had “red” hair…just sayin’)… “Iraqi leaders say the opposition to U.S. troops have “legitimate right” of resistance”… Geez, was this written by Jane Fonda?

  3. Staying in Iraq has massive policy benefits in regard to the Iran situation. In Iraq we can keep our eyes on these people. When everything in Iraq calms down, we should keep troops there anyway… just in case they need to be used in Iran. :-)

  4. Hm, so, the government of Iraq would like us to leave once the job is finished so they can manage things themselves. Why is this even news?

  6. Thank you for liberating us.

Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

    Take that democracy-thing with you.

    It’s not ours.

    Buh-by.

    Mission accomplished.

  7. I’m sure Iran doesn’t want us anywhere nearby. It makes the Mullahs nervous.

  9. The US got blamed for all the deaths in Iraq when Saddam was still in power. What else is new?

Why don’t you think that the Iraqis can manage democracy and rule of law, chandler? I realize that this point of faith is important to the foundation of the “we can’t win so why try” folks but *really* do you think so?

I think about the funniest thing I heard was an Iraqi response to a radio call in show where a woman from Saudi called up and explained why she thought that women having the vote was wrong. The reaction was entirely nationalistic… something to the tune of “Of course no one would expect *you* to do something as complicated as chose the uniforms your servants wear but *Iraqi* women aren’t like Saudi women, *our* women are smart” etc.

Sure, I also saw/read a debate in the Iraqi parlament where a woman delegate made a suggestion, some man repeated the suggestion, at which point the other men talked to him and ignored the woman. Frustrating no doubt. Still, her suggestion was ultimately accepted.

I imagine there’s a great deal of sexism in that culture (Duh) but it’s also a culture where many women are highly educated professionals and this has been true for a very long time. Many of the most educated got those educations in Europe or America. They “get” the idea of democracy.

The thing about *humans* is that they are adaptable. Probably more than any creature on the Earth, we can adapt, change, and decide to act contrary to our pasts.

  10. Why don’t you think that the Iraqis can manage democracy and rule of law, chandler?

Because liberals like Chandler can’t, so they ASSume nobody else can. Besides, it’s contradictory to the ruling style of their hero Saddam Hussein.

It would be a victory for America and George W. Bush. That’s why. It’s good for America so it’s bad for liberals. They know they’re finished if we succede in Iraq. That’s why the lbieral media refuse to tell you about it.

BTW, that’s what the liberals consider patriotism. Anything that benefits themselves while screwing over anybody else.

  12. Comment 6 -

So Chandler now stands with the Iranian mullahs, as well as the terrorists!

And yet, in his book, he - and his Democrat buddies - somehow have “a positive agenda for gay people.” ROFLMAO

Chandler provides an example of NDT’s comments of how “gay supportive” the regressive liberals are.

Thanks Chandler. You might be worth a damn after all.

  14. A TERRORIST withdrawl? That’s insensitive to the cultural sensibilities of the terrorists, er, insurgents! They’re freedom fighters, trying to protect their Allah-given right to pull women apart with horses and hang gay people!

Let’s have a protest! Call the gay groups, and I’ll call the feminsts! We can all march with the communists!
