Ah, Here’s the quote I was looking for. Rosalyn Carter, writing in Everything to Gain.
“I have worked with the problems of the mentally afflicted for years, ever since I first became aware of the needs while campaigning for Jimmy for Governor.”

Considering both Jimmy and Billy, it appears that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree…

Not a great president, but he’s probably the greatest elder statesman alive today. Additionally, the commitment he and Rosalyn have made to helping others in the nearly 25 years since he left office is commendable. Why don’t you do a little bashing on Bush the first since he didn’t make it to a second term? Fair is fair.

#4. Primarily because Bush 41 doesn’t travel the world sucking up to Marxist dictators and bashing America. Carter a great, elder statesman? More like a vain, senile, anti-semitic, America-hater. Cindy Sheehan without the thunder thighs.
