Polipundit: The Sixteenth Minute…In Pictures

*crickets chirping today in Crawford, TX*
More photos of the Sheehan book signing disaster at Sweetness & Light.
By contrast, here is the reception the President and First Lady received from our troops in South Korea last week.

This was the new Joan of Arc for the antiwar movement, wasn’t it? Wasn’t she supposed to be the first pebble of an enormous landslide that would finally destroy (and hopefully kill) the Bush? How many failed Leftist jihads have we witnessed these six years? How many more will we have to endure?

We could get some gitmo terrorists in line to get a signed copy of her book they usually try and help thier own
Thanks for working against the perception that conservatives are mean and petty.
I *almost* feel sorry for her, she was using and being used. Now what Ms. Sheehan?
Kevin if that was directed at my comment she has said more kind words about terrorists than the USA so i stand by my comment
I wasn’t aware Rosa Parks had to sit alone. I was always under the impression the bus was crowded.
It’s also interesting to note that she hasn’t made it on NYT Best seller list nor on Amazon.com’s.
6: No, not specifically. More about the tone some of these postings take. I’m more of the “I don’t agree with what you say, but I’ll defend to the death your right to say it” kind of guy. Look at the John Daly issue – Rebecca Beach very much has the right to say what she wants – it’s still a free country. If his intention was to use his position as a staff member to stop her from saying what she wanted, then he should have been fired.
I may not agree with someone’s point of view, I may discuss it, argue it out, but I don’t see the point of constantly belittling someone because they have a point of view that differs from mine. When people do stuff like this (whether on the consevative or liberal side of the issue) it only serves to make them appear mean spirited.

True.
She does look a bit forlorn there in the pics. The thing is that she’s not the flavor of the day anymore and the liberal media has left her holding the bag. She’s another failure that the liberal left can include on their growing list of failures to “get Bush” along with Richard Clarke, the Jersey Girls, Bill Burkett, Dan Rather etc.
Thing is, she let herself be used and has nobody to blame but herself. That, however, would mean accepting responsibility which liberals don’t have a clue about.
BTW, how can you expect to sell a book when the entire text is available on the internet for free? Or did they remove her commentary from the blogs?
Further, if it’s all about Casey, why is her picture on the cover and not his?

What are you talking about?
I think what happened is, the Code Pinkos wanted to look good, so they decided to only let anti-war people who were sane and intelligent into the audience.
#13. You say that as though Sheehan has never been a part of something “staged” or planned.
Thing is that:
A). Now that anti-war posturing Democrats have betrayed ANSWER and voted almost unanimously not to cut and run, and congress is on winter break, there is not much point to spending the money to bus people to these rallies (for the moment);
B). This vote kinda burst the vitriol bubble I think;
and finally:
C). The 2000 body bag countdown that libs were waiting for has come and gone, and now there is nothing in the news to stir the anti-war, Michael Moore, Moonbat soup.
Woops, I forgot:
D). It’s the Thanksgiving weekend, and start of the Christmas shopping… oh, wait, I mean Holiday shopping season. I believe that people of all political stripes have better things to do than attend a Bush bashing rally.
Cindy Sheehan Doesn’t Want You to Read This
May u LCR people be the first to wear your gov’t issued Pink Triangles to wear on your clothing.
Before you start your hysterics, JRC, why not go locate those gay internment camps that prominent gay liberals and Democrats like Ann Northrop, Mike Signorile, and Mike Rogers insist already exist in Washington, Idaho, and Oregon?
I mean, really, if they’re there, you shouldn’t have any trouble finding them, right? Bring back pictures, please.
#18 (JRC) – Pink Triangles have been fashion accessories for decades now. I bet you own more than one article of clothing with a PT on it already. Hey, you’ll be saving the government money!
Well, THAT was quick! But apparently not entirely painless judging from Brent Mussburger’s expression. What? That’s a photo of Cindy Sheehan??? Oh, pardon me, Madam. I had you confused for a dude.
But ya gotta dig those star-shaped mylar balloons cause it’s always a party when Mama Sheehan’s in da house (or da tent, in this case)! HO!!! But I wasn’t aware that Electric Blue had become a universally recognized symbol for mourning. Or is she now beyond that?
Comparing the reception of the president to Cindy doesn’t seem quite fair. People willingly go see the president even when it’s not the guy they voted for.
Anyhow… a couple posts back I said that Cindy’s book wasn’t going to pay out on whatever modest advance she got. I don’t have to like her or like her message to feel that twinge of being ignored at the book signing table since nearly all the authors I know (and I know quite a few) report the same neglect. If (when!) I ever sell a novel I’m not going to do signings. You don’t get a crowd until you’re *huge* and sometimes even then no one comes up to talk to you because they haven’t read your book and don’t want to and would feel socially uncomfortable because of that. Ick.
Michelle Malkin Reports: Anti-American Attention Whore Cindy Sheehan is getting $11,000 to speak at college campus. The military officer who is arguing the other side is only getting $600.
Typical. The DNC made a stab at trying to make her self-sufficient, but that collapsed when it turned out that an anti-Semitic, racist, al-Qaeda supporting rant wasn’t going to sell to the American public. So now they turn to the one thing they can reliably squeeze money from to support their moonbats…..public education.
guessing that she weighs about 145 at $11,000 dollars that works out to about $75.00 a pound thats a lot to pay for crap
Still do not get it, TGC?
Nope. I’ll never understand how liberals can hate America so damn much and still live here.
i would just like to say that i want my man to be home soon and that i cant understand y they have been gone for seven years seems long enough to help the country
