Hey everyone. Sorry the blogging has been light the past couple of days. PatriotPartner, PatriotPooch and I made the long drive from Northern Virginia to Charlotte on Friday night. Of course the traffic in Northern Virginia probably added one full hour to our trip. Unreal.
Anyway, the GayPatriot East Coast HQ is now officially in Charlotte! Dan continues to man the West Coast HQ in Los Angeles.
I’m blogging from the Charlotte-Douglass Airport waiting for my plane to Phoenix for the week for a business trip. Yes, I have a business trip in the middle of moving my entire life to a new state. Oy.
Some initial thoughts on Charlotte….. the locals thought the traffic was bad this morning. Heh, heh, heh. At the time of day we were on I-485, I-66 in DC would have been gridlocked in both directions. I’ll take this “bad traffic.”
Breezing into Charlotte-Douglass Airport was also one of the most enjoyable experiences of my life as compared to the “take years off your life” experience of getting to and through Dulles Airport in Virginia.
We have found two great places to eat already. The Pewter Rose and Flat Rock Grille. Yum!!
And the new house is beautiful. Here’s a pic of it from about 3 weeks ago when major construction was still going on. There are just some minor things left to do before closing on Friday.
Blogging may be light the rest of this week due to work and the new house. So hopefully the Los Angeles Bureau will be able to pick up my slack!!

Ha. Ha. Ha. You’re not fooling anyone. Everyone knows under the BushHitler Theocracy, sodomites are not allowed to legally own houses or other forms of property.
Nice Duplex Bruce!
Which half is yours?
LMAO

Beautiful home. I love southern architecture. The homes have so much more character.
Lets hope your neighbors aren’t fundies….otheriwise its NO welcome cake or cookies for you! Hope you got ALL those legal documents written up / Iron clad – just in case you croak!
No welcome cake? Damn! That’s just exactly like the Taliban!
Hey, I want to live there!
Wow that is a beautiful house. This is an older post so I’m sure you’ve seen massive appreciation on it since you purchased in Charlotte.
I love the double porches.
