Thanks Dan, I am wildly flattered. This contest I will enjoy.

Can’t wait to see the icon or button you guys create for this occasion. It deserves it’s own artwork. Doncha think?

LOL….this is my day to be PC or something, but blogress? I never thought “blogger” was masculine OR feminine, and it rolls off the tongue much more nicely.

Thanks for the nomination! I’ve been called a blogress before and commented on the word here. I like that it suggests a blogging ogress and think perhaps a male blogger should be called a blogre.

To me, “blogress” suggests “tigress”……and then I guess “blogger” (male) would suggest “tiger”. πŸ™‚

Looks like someone isn’t happy about the Poll:

Poor thing, that Gay Patriot. Poor thing. Of course you can be conservative and gay (I myself have some conservative traits: believe in the market economy, small government, fisco discipline, an adversion to change the constitution and respect for process). But dude, to suck up to homophobes like you, that’s just self-hating stuff.

And then, he says something to make me suspect it’s hank.

And your spelling is so bad that I doubt Babs’ can be wrong. And besides, she can sing and act, can’t her? What do you do well?

I’m honored to be nominated, but I think I’d have to vote for Michelle Malkin, because (a) she’s got the biggest blog; (b) she most infuriates those on the left; (c) she constantly gets called “whore” by those who disagree with her politically.

While I admire Tammy Bruce, can you really be any kind of diva if you always wear pants and comfortable shoes?

Ann Althouse probably deserves at least an honorable mention for the “no wire hangers — ever!” fit she’s been having about Pajamas Media.

I love Tammy Bruce ’cause she’s a rebel, but I gotta go with Ann Althouse. What I lovely, lovely brain she has. And when she’s pissed, man, hide your squirrels!

PS. Pamela over at Groklaw deserves honorable mention.

I had to vote for Michelle. She’s been doing truly outstanding work lately. Otherwise, I might be tempted to vote for Betsy for a down-to-earth perspective. Tammy Bruce has also done excellent work. But then again, so has Ann Althouse and Atlas and….

I think I need to vote for the lass who is the most like a good Christian woman. I think Michelle gets my vote. I’m not sure if she is Christian or not because she is married to the Jewish man, but based on her writing I think she would be the most like a good Southern Baptist girl who sticks up for her man through thich and thin.

Hey, Mike in #21, I need to read Jane Galt more. I always thought it was called Asymmetrical Information because that’s on her page’s header.

Thanks to this contest, I discovered some great blogs of which I had previously been aware and was reminded of others that I had seen once or twice, but not followed regularly.

Since I got to determine which nominees to include, I should note that I would not have included any in the poll which I did not find worthy. ‘Cause they’re all good blogs. And they’re all great blogresses. They’re all divas to me! πŸ™‚

Great line-up. At least six blogresses (lord, that’s an awful coinage) that I’d like to see win this thing.

However, in addition to the other worthies you left out (Baldilocks, the Anchoress), you neglected to include the Feisty Republican Whore. What’s the matter with you guys? Are you whoreophobic or something?

  31. Mike Koenecke says

    December 23, 2005 at 12:59 pm - December 23, 2005

Um… GayPatriotWest, I was commenting on your calling her blog “Assymetrical Information” instead of “Asymmetrical Information.” Although I guess one could contend that the word “assymetrical” could be a synonym for “well-rounded.” [Rimshot]
