Oh Happy Day, Oh Happy Happy!

January 2, 2006 by GayPatriotWest

The second eldest PatriotNieceWest finally has a baby brother with the birth earlier this morning of the newest PatriotNephewWest. But, happy as this uncle is, he still thinks that eleven nieces and nephews are not nearly enough.

I’m not sure any number is ever really “enough”. I have 30 so far. It’s been more than 4 years since the latest one was born, and I keep hoping my siblings haven’t all given up on any further additions.

Appropriately enough (as a Blogs4Bauer contributing blogger) I have 24.

Question…..just how many siblings do y’all HAVE? I have one of each…..but only one NDTNephew to show for it!

And trust me, the kid needs competition…house looks like my sibling was the successful bidder on the remains of the NYC FAO Schwarz….

Way off topic, but everyone needs to apply the SECURITY PATCH featured in the green box if you are running ANY windows operating system (XP, ME, NT, 2000, 98, 95, 3.1). There is a huge vulnerability in the coding that lets you view pictures using windows. All web browsers and e-mail clients will at various times access this code to perform different imaging tasks. This is a BIG FAT SECURITY RISK. There is more info HERE.

PS. If the Hyperlink don’t work, here are the URL’s from above:

    http://www.grc.com/sn/notes-020.htm

    http://www.f-secure.com/weblog/archives/archive-012006.html#00000761

This will disable the Microsoft Picture Viewer feature, but there is a safer alternative here:

OT: Left-Wing Blogger Blames Bush for WV Mine Explosion

And Daily Kos: Fighting Terrorism Is Cowardly, because we should accept mass terror-death as a fair price to pay for not infringing on the “civil liberties” of terrorists.

It gets more and more difficult to parody these people.

Re: “Fighting Terrorism is Cowardly”…I want to expand on V’s point, for the benefit of Left-liberal readers.

This is one place where the rest of us (libertarian centrists and conservatives) get the idea that the Left is anti-American.

If someone implies, or acts to support, an idea that you have no moral right to defend yourself or deal with threats: wouldn’t you reasonably conclude they are “anti-you”?

Even if they never say anything overtly “anti-you”, they are still functionally or behavorially “anti-you”. Perhaps their “anti-you” feeling is buried at a deep level.

So it is with the Left. Even if Left activists don’t come out and say “You know, I really hate America” (though some do): if all the policies and ideas they support are functionally identical to what an actual enemy of America would want – Where’s the difference?
