I saw a cartoon on Slate.com showing arabs shooting at each other “for Allah”. It ocurred to me then that we should have more cartoons to piss them off. Perhaps they’ll all get so mad that the elemenate themselves and it only costs us paper and ink.

Bravo for Flemming Rose and the Jyllands-Posten (did I spell these right?)! Bravo for Denmark. As a Christian, I tolerate government-funded “Piss Christ” without rioting. Freedom of the press is paramount. As Bette Midler used to say, “Fuck ‘em is they can’t take joke!”

I think this is it (don’t know if I screwed that up) Anyways, MVRWC and Jawa and others are having a daily cartoon jihad thingy. These are just some of them.

These hottie pics are nice. How about one for Joey Cheek? His gift of Olympics funds to the children’s charity qualifies him as a spiritual hottie. Maybe even an honorary gay?

How about a pic of an actual hottie?

Muslim violence in the streets over the cartoons in Denmark is just the beginning.
The liberal immigration policies of European countries have created monsters that our friends across the pond may not be able to control. In some countries the Muslim population is growing at a faster rate than the natives and within our lifetimes we may see Muslim-dominated countries in Europe. That will be a sad and dangerous situation since Islam and western-style democracy do not appear to be compatible.

When I was on tour of Glasgow, our guide mentioned how there are a lot of churches that have had a steep decline in membership. They pointed to a few churches that had become restaurants or other businesses. Shortly after that, I read an article somewhere along the lines of the movement away from Christianity towards Muslim in Europe.
BTW, has anybody else noticed a growing number of people on TV & radio who put an emphasis (or a lisp) on the “S” in Muslim? Sounds like a growing number of people are pronouncing it Moo-slim. Maybe it’s just me.

I wholeheartedly agree with #1. Shocked TGC?

#9 The Muslim/Moo-slem thing may be a Turin/Torino thing. The media tends to decide, every so often, that they should correct the pronounciation of foreign words.

#9 and #11 — I don’t know whether my mind is failing me, but I keep thinking that when I was much younger they were referred to as “Moslems”. Does anyone remember those days betther than I?

Also #9, I read an article recently that said Christian church attendance in Europe had declined so much that some empty churches were being purchased by Muslims and converted to mosques. The article showed photos of a number of such conversions in Britain.
In some communities the growing Muslim populations are trying to impose Islamic rules. Some friends of mine encountered an example last fall while touring Europe. In Amsterdam — and again in a suburb of London — when leaving gay bars, they were accosted by groups of young middle eastern-looking males and harassed all the way back to their hotels. Luckily, there was no physical violence, although that has happened in both Amsterdam and London.

I doubt if it was the same article, but I read one that was less about the declining membership than about state control. A few years back, the church wanted to maintain ownership of the churches, but since they weren’t as active as the state thought they should be, they were seized, of course it wasn’t called a seizure, since the state payed money for the land, but the state took the land, paid the church, and allowed islam to, depending on your faith, or lack there-of, to “desecrate” holy christian places by purchasing them and turning them into mosques.
It’s a common practice throughout all religiosity, read muslihoon? I think, and you will see that there has been a political practice within islam, dating back to the prophet himself, in the hopes of superceding an existing faith for the purposes of self service.
Fact is Christ, walked into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday for the express purpose of saying “those who follow me, follow you, why are we at conflict” and he failed to convert the pharasee’s, or at least earn their trust, so he was killed. The HONEST effort on the part of Jesus, and the rejection of him is the real foundation of Christianity. Whereas Islam, Muhammed originaly said that god ordered all of his followers (muhammed, not god) must pray towards jerusalem, after muhammed was rebuked, it became Mecca. It is a theological statement, but the Perfect god of the Perfect prophet dicked up in one of his first edicts.
THAT is the history of islam, and after that rebuke, muhhames children returned to jerusalem and destroyed the jewish and christian holy places, and built mosques on top of them destroying the record of the previous religious norm.

They are trying in England to form a community with Islamic law. And we’ll see it very soon in France I believe. Check out ‘No Pasaran!”
Very informative. It’s two American guys living in France…and calling it the way it is. Scary

Did anyone ever get the hottie’s name (the hottie holding the big Danish flag – and that isn’t a euphemism!). Would he like to come spend the winter in Jerusalem? It’s much nicer than Northern Europe or northern USA/Canada.
