Basically, the pro-illegal movement is announcing that they don’t recognize U.S. sovereignty in the Southwest, even though Mexico ceded it, by treaty, getting close to two centuries ago.
That should be of great concern to all who claim to be patriots.
Incidentally, just like the so-called “anti-war” (but actually pro- the other side) rallies, these pro-illegal rallies are organized with heavy involvement from International A.N.S.W.E.R.

Pretty much at least the Mexicans who are in charge are. Most of the native Mexicans (those of Mayan/Aztec/other native groups) are very poor, live in the jungles, and are treated quite badly by other Mexicans. Mexico suppressed some demonstrations and other Native movements in Southern Mexico a few years ago.

Well yesterday was quite a day here in Dallas. I knew something was happening as I returned home after church. Central Expressway coming in from the northeast was backed up going into downtown. I took a shortcut through the eastern end of downtown and what I saw then amazed me. I realized that every available parking place (both real and improvised) was being used, and that the marchers I saw were having to park well outside the central business district and walk into downtown. This was at 12:30 PM. When I got home I turned on the TV to see if anything was being broadcast through out the afternoon.
The helicopter shots of the mass of humanity in downtown Dallas were absolutely incredible. My only comparison was remembering the last time the Dallas Cowboys won the superbowl, and 100,000 people showed up at City Hall Plaza. Or watching the marches in Washington on the Mall. I would say that only 1 in a 100 of those attending did not have a white shirt on. The masses of people I witnessed heading into downtown even waited at the signal lights so as to not disrupt vehicular traffic.
I can say that I have witnessed a lot in my lifetime, Kennedy Assassination, 1968 march on Washington, 9-11 , and this rally in Dallas.
The Kennedy Assassination changed Dallas. I think this demonstration will too.
The times they are a changing. I also think the Republican Party will gain in the long term from he Hispanic community.

#13 – And NDT, you should see the OTHER photo that someone snapped at the Dallas illegal alien promenade. Go to Michelle Malkin’s site and take a gander. It’s a real eye-opener. This is the most obvious proof that the DNC is trying to make this a campaign issue in 2006 and also try to add to their growing list of entitlement voters – blacks, women, lower-income, union et al.
Ah, what mature, productive and constructive comments those placards carry! And these people want to convince us they deserve to be Americans?!
At the bare minimum, a nation has not only the right but the obligation to ensure that those entering it mean it no harm, and that those wishing to become citizens hold the country in high enough esteem to believe it’s worth helping to build up instead of tearing down. A great many of those in the mobs pictured here dismally flunk those simple tests.
The most pathetic thing about these zealots is that they blame racists for the resistance against them. Their behavior has been a racist’s dream.
Hence the call for amnesty from the Democrats, V the K; they want to make sure that little things like legal migration, background checks, and citizenship tests designed to make sure you know what in the hell you’re voting for in the first place are no barrier to their electorate.
What this is is a sign of desperation on the Dems’ part; they cannot convince those who are already legalized to vote, so they try to import and legalize hundreds of thousands of “voters” already brainwashed into believing their socialistic and collectivist theories.
The ironic part is that most of those “voters” are in the state they’re in precisely because Mexico has been run by our equivalent of Democrats since the Mexican Revolution. The country is a Democrats’ wet dream — private corporations are punished, all natural resources are in the governments’ hands, and private property rights are completely subject to the government’s whim for redistribution.
Let’s revisit what rights immigrants have under Mexican law (courtesy ‘The Corner’):
Under the Mexican Constitution:
– Immigrants and foreign visitors are banned from public political discourse.
-Immigrants and foreigners are denied basic property rights.
-Immigrants are denied equal employment rights.
-Immigrants may be expelled from Mexico for any reason and without due process.
This really shouldn’t surprise us, V the K; it’s what Democrats and their allies, as these photos show, are demanding, only in reverse. Instead of being against “immigrants”, it’s against CITIZENS of the US who object.

Most Mexicans are of native Mexican ancestry, not Spanish – but so what? That still doesn’t give them any better right to be in the US than any one else, any more than an Indian from Oklahoma is somehow more native in California than a white person whose ancestors are buried there. Indian, or not, he still just an Okie. We tried to shut the border when it would have made a difference, but the activist SCOTUS..never mind, wrong rant. Anyway, Mexicans are aliens.eriod.
All that Aztlan “This is our land anyway” is BS is a joke with most Mexican-Americans, I come in contact with, and a lot of actual Mexicans think it’s a joke. It’s only the academic pencil dicks who go for that kind of nonsense. It gives them some kind of a moral thrill or something. Anyway, it was the Coamnche that took Texas away from the, and the Hopi and Zuni in Arizona. Whose going to admit that having their asses handed to them by the Hopi, for God’s sake?

personally, i hate many forms of amnesty. the first year i fail to file my taxes you can darn well bet that I will wait for the next tax amnesty period before filing those suckers.
i have yet to meet the immigrant who comes here to spit upon this great country. All that I have spoken to came because of opportunities that were not available at home, they wanted something better for the chillen.
there ain’t one politician black, white, blue, red, liberal, moderate, or conservative who is going to split up a family, risk losing votes, etc. you can bet your last dollar that those here will be given an opportunity to earn citizenship but it will harder for those on the next “boat” and there might just be a crackdown on employers – a little more doubtful.

Ted B. (Charging Rhino)says
As a Teddy Roosevelt-Progressive Republican, I believe that the assimulated immigrant makes us stronger, not weaker. To felonize their “undocumented” status or to impose crushing fines is ridiculous, it would merely drive them deeper underground. If security is the rationale, then we need every illegal alien to be encourage, not discouraged, to register and regularize their status as guest worker or as potential citizen. It is reasonable that they should be required over a number of years to settle their current and back-taxes as part of their obligation as residents, but I woud oppose “extra” punitive penalties such as surcharges or a one-time fine.
It’s also impractical and onerous to require them to return to their “country-of-origin” to start their naturalization…they are already here…and more to the point their families and minor US-citizen children are here. Let the penalty be they have to wait 7 or 11 years, rather than the current 5 years for naturalization; but issue them green or blue-cards to they can properly be documented, be issued drivers’ licences (and insurance). And once they are documented, then guarantee that they can return home to visit, or reside back-home if a guest-worker without suddenly finding the door slammed behind them.
It is only by regularizing their status that we as-a-nation can avoid the trap of multi-culturalism that traps both Europe and Canada. The influx of economic immigrants from Mexica and Central America is a hydralic-inevitability….it is not a test of Sovereignty. If we want to insure that the official entre-ports are used, then it must be beneficial to use them. If you could get a guest-worker blue-card at a computer kiosk at any border-town bus terminal or airport where in a moment your retenal-scan and fingerprints are recorded, and you recieved a bio-metric ID with RFID chip; would you cross time-efficiently at US Customs or walk across the desert?
To those who say build a wall; our government can barely manage to levee New Orleans, and you want a frontier barrier from Tijuana to El Paso to Brownsville? There’s 900 miles of river-frontier from El Paso to Brownsville, and 700 miles of mopuntains and desert the otherway to Tijuana. Summon the damned-shade of Erich Honeker, and ask him about barrier-walls and how to train the guards to shoot women and children.
Deport the 12-20 million undocumented? Order the barbed-wire and cattle cars for the camps; I’m sure there’s a few “good Germans” who remember how. “Patriots” to knock on the door in the middle of the night; to take children from their mothers and fathers; to search home-by-home and business-by-business.
Damn you who would make “Ihre Ausweis, Bitte!” an American virtue.
If you read what I said, I wrote “As a Teddy Roosevelt-Progressive Republican, I believe that the assimulated immigrant makes us stronger, not weaker” Roosevelt was criticizing the unassimulated Hyper-American…which I do also; “… But if he is heartily and singly loyal to this Republic, then no matter where he was born, he is just as good an American as any one else.”
We must act to bring these 12-20-million strongly into the American Family…not drive them underground, nor encourage and co-enable the alien-status to create another Quebec along the Southerm frontier. It is NOT appeasement, but practical real-politik to recognise that we can not deport 12 to 20 million “back to where they came from”. Read you history about how many US citizens were forcibly deported back to Mexico during the Depression out of undisguised Racist policy. Care to repeat the process? How many hundreds of thousands of US citizen minors do you care to throw into the “kind and caring” clutches of DYFS and Youth Services?
One-in-ten Mexican citizens currently reside in the United States….most as “undocumented”. Personally, I think it would be more practical…and a lot cheaper in the long-run…to simply annex the Republic of Mexico than to attempt fortifying the border and shipping it’s citizens back against their wills. The US Marines still sing of “…the Halls of Montezuma”, well maybe we shoud just finish the job now….and the Mexicans will hate us forever. It would such an advantage to have our own version of the the Irish Troubles and Iraq right on our Southern doorstep.
When my grandmother was a little girl, “educated” people said the same about the Irish, the Italians and the Poles as they do about the “Immigration Problem”…and instituted the quotas closing the gates of America. The those same closed-gates prevented the European Jews from escaping the Nazis a generation later.
Roosevelt was criticizing the unassimulated Hyper-American…which I do also
Yet, you continue to apologize for them, not to mention their waving Mexican flags. Principled, my ass. You don’t know what the word means. And aren’t you the dolt who was playing McCain cheerleader a few threads back?
Michigan-Mattsays
Ted, I know a charging rhino is nearly blind –but it is deaf and dumb, too? jk.
12-20 M illegal aliens in the US? Really, is that a wiki cite? Most leading experts indicate the illegal alien population in the US is between 8.7M (2003 figure) and 11M –your number reminds me of the days when homeless advocates would routinely double and triple counts in order to get more money, more attention, more press. Or wait, gay rights advocates on the Left do the same thing… sorry.
The formula for success in this matter is very simple, Ted.
First, strengthen borders, issue identity cards, hold employers accountable, allow legal immigration to continue. Second, arrest those who aid illegal aliens –including well meaning Church groups running santuary programs– streamline repatriation programs, put the illegal aliens back in their home country and strengthen workplace/wage laws.
No one except illegal aliens are served by a porous border. Security first; it should be our national priority in all things international. We need to know who is here, why, how long, and who they brought with them. Anything less is negligent no matter what Teddy Roosevelt, Ben Franklin, Tom Jefferson or anyone else from the dead past thought in a different time, different world, different situation all around.
Michigan-Mattsays
And Ted, Mexico has a population of about 107m (2006 CIA estimate); so if you deduct the percentage of Mexicans in the illegal alien figure, the number of Mexican illegals living in the US is more like 1:20. But it’s all statistics; I wouldn’t want to be one of the 1 or the 20.
So, Ted B, are you really arguing that our schools are not too overcrowded yet? Are you arguing that there isn’t enough urban sprawl, and we should subject our environment to another million residents every year? Are you arguing that it’s a good thing that trauma centers in the southwest have had to close because of too many uninsured illegals driving them to bankruptcy? Are you saying it’s a good thing that ranchers in Arizona are being over-run, having their property vandalized, being threatened with violence, and having their livestock butchered by illegals is a good thing (or maybe just “tough luck, if they don’t like it, they should move to New Hampshire”)? Do you think there isn’t enough traffic on our freeways?
There are four billion poor people in the world. Where is it written that the USA should have to take them all in? Do you not give a crap about the working class in the United States whose wages are being undercut by illegals?
It fascinates me that Ralph & Ted seem to have little regard for the laws that we have.
Yeah, the message here seems to be, if you disagree with a law and lots of people are breaking the law and the law interferes with commerce, you should be able to break the law without any repercussions.
With that in mind, let me propose a new business wherein we will sell alcohol to minors, or, as I prefer to call them “undocumented adults.” Lots of teenagers already drink, and, anyway, it will benefit the economy (or at least my economy) by selling to them. And for the most part, they drink liquor that adults just won’t drink… like Everclear. And most of those “undocumented adults” are good people, with families… which, as the illegal immigration debate shows, means it’s okay if they break the law, or if I break the law by selling to them. Yes, there will be social costs, but they will be borne by the taxpayers in the communities where these “undocumented adults” live, just like with “undocumented immigrants.”
Actually, the message is that law and the Constitution don’t mean a flying fuck to the liberals unless they can use it to their advantage.
ralphsays
VdaK, we have a term for people who butcher livestock and threaten individuals with bodily harm, criminal. Take that nonsense outside of the immigrant debate.
To be clear, it was Ronald Reagan who first granted amnesty. But more to the point, most of your arguments are not grounded in reality. It is simply politically unpalatable that your elected officials are going to split up families – particularly when you have young children, who through no fault of their own are caught up in this mess. You can bet your bottom dollar that the 5 year old born to illegal immigrants, who you threaten to deport, will be the face on the news.
If you really want to enforce the laws, punish the individuals who hire illegal immigrants. There are laws on the books for this but no one seems to care.
And for the record, some of your homies on the right in the Senate are all for granting citizenship. So again, I state it ain’t a liberal thing.
Ralph, you’re absolutely right. RWR did indeed first grant amnesty. It was a horrible idea then, and it’s an even worse idea now; doesn’t make a damn bit of difference to me which party these nitwits belong to.
The fact that illegals and their advocates are demanding anything, given Mexico’s draconian policies toward illegal immigration only serve to make this present issue all the more crucial.
My message to the GOP? Either grow a set of balls, or prepare to find a new line of work, because the majority of Americans aren’t exactly comfortable watching illegals march with upside-down US flags.
It is simply politically unpalatable that your elected officials are going to split up families – particularly when you have young children,
No one’s splitting up families. Who said they can’t take their kids with them when they leave? If the illegals choose to split up their families, that’s their problem.
And for the record, some of your homies on the right in the Senate are all for granting citizenship.
Nobody who supports citizenship for illegal aliens is one of my “homies.” I’ll leave partisan hackery to the left, thank you.
Besides, Ralph, you’ve made it clear what this is all about; Democrats advocating that property rights be stripped from whites and beredistributed to blacks and Hispanics.
Ted Kennedy, Nancy Pelosi, and the rest of the Democratic cabal are so desperate to regain power that they’re advocating giving illegals voting rights so that they can carry out this plan.
Ted Kennedy, Nancy Pelosi, and the rest of the Democratic cabal are so desperate to regain power that they’re advocating giving illegals voting rights so that they can carry out this plan.
Yeah, funny how no one’s talking about the obvious compromise on amnesty … permitting illegals residency without citizenship… The democrats have no traction with mainstream voters, so only by enfranchising illegal immigrants, dead people, and convicted felons do they have any hope of regaining power.
Unless, of course, Republicans hand power over to them, which is exactly what they are doing by pushing the All Amnesty/Zero Border Enforcement plan put forth by Ted “The Swimmer” Kennedy and John “I Stab the Party in the Back Every Chance I Get I Hope They Nominate Me” McCain.
This is also why Democrats oppose requiring that people have government-issued photo IDs to vote.
That really was the underlying purpose of the “give illegal immigrants driver’s licenses” movement of a few years ago; however, when the voters shot THAT down, Dems started playing the “racist” card they always do to get their way.
Only this time, what they’re trying to say is that it’s “racist” to require you to prove that you are an American citizen to vote, even though it is a Constitutional restriction.
Senator McCain? The “Straight Talker” who has spent most of the last month trying to deny that his amnesty bill is an amnesty bill?
Yes, that McCain. The RINO.

But I can not abide people who drop the flag, fly a frayede flag from their car antenna, wear flag shorts, post a flag over a an exhaust pipe that is just disrespect.
Well no, most Mexicans are of mixed ancestry.
Counter-Protester Assaulted and Bloodied by Peaceful Pro-Illegal Protesters
VdaK, bingo on the MexiConstitution proscriptions on non-natives; that was my point at #7. I soooo want to find some non-union grapes and pig out in revolt.
this is not a blue red, liberal conservative, Democrat Republican issue and it would be nice if you would stop painting it as such. i seem to recall that amnesty was first granted by your hero.
personally, i hate many forms of amnesty. the first year i fail to file my taxes you can darn well bet that I will wait for the next tax amnesty period before filing those suckers.
i have yet to meet the immigrant who comes here to spit upon this great country. All that I have spoken to came because of opportunities that were not available at home, they wanted something better for the chillen.
there ain’t one politician black, white, blue, red, liberal, moderate, or conservative who is going to split up a family, risk losing votes, etc. you can bet your last dollar that those here will be given an opportunity to earn citizenship but it will harder for those on the next “boat” and there might just be a crackdown on employers – a little more doubtful.
it could be me but you guys seem to take some of this stuff too seriously. trust me it ain’t the guy waving the sign “take your asses back to Europe.” it is the guy who sits quietly in a cabin plotting that you need to be worried about.
you need to shake your hand like the black folk…
As for the US vs. Mexican and Central American flag-wavers; http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/04/10/AR2006041001798.html
Hardly. Here’s what Teddy Roosevelt had to say about all this, which bears little semblance to your appeasenik nonsense.
We must be practical, as well as principled.
Yet, you continue to apologize for them, not to mention their waving Mexican flags. Principled, my ass. You don’t know what the word means. And aren’t you the dolt who was playing McCain cheerleader a few threads back?
And aren’t you the dolt who was playing McCain cheerleader a few threads back?
Senator McCain? The “Straight Talker” who has spent most of the last month trying to deny that his amnesty bill is an amnesty bill?
It fascinates me that Ralph & Ted seem to have little regard for the laws that we have.

Eric in North Tijuana
Yes, that McCain. The RINO.
NDT, problem with the written word, you don’t always get the humor in which it was intended. So in case, you did not as I can not tell from your response, my comment was tongue in cheek.
Unfortunately, the sign wasn’t.
I’m sure you’d like us to believe that you were only joking. But unfortunately, the “brothers” made it abundantly clear that you weren’t. Let’s see how long your white bitches and ‘hos like Reid and Pelosi stay around once voters find out what the real point of all these rallies are.
NDT, and again i say, you need to shake your hand like the black folk you might get some tonight
which if you understand the reference makes it abundantly clear that my comments were said in jest and if you don’t let me state in language that you will easily understand, like you were a five year old, so that there is no misunderstanding, “my comments we made in jest”
i wonder how many movie and music references i can use….
Two Illegals’ Photos Are Worth A Strong Enforcement Law
Aside from the fact that you are a Republican hack, and maybe even a racist, what evidence to you have that any significant number of people in the photos that you posted are illegal aliens/undocumented immigrants?
#45: Eyes.
I think the vast majority of American citizens know not to fly an American flag upside down, don’t you?
Raj, go back and check the heading, no one is being indicted as an illegal – a savvy wordsmith is he.
NDT, though not to me, I was think about the flag today – I saw a motorcyclist with the flag flying from his backseat. And I keep thinking people in this country in an attempt to show love disgrace the flag in quite a number of ways, which piss me off to no end.
I can live with a flag burning, flag on ground, flag upside down in protest (although in this case, I am not sure it makes a real statement). But I can not abide people who drop the flag, fly a frayede flag from their car antenna, wear flag shorts, post a flag over a an exhaust pipe that is just disrespect. People got no home training, RAISED not reared in a barn.
