The Week Ahead… Rain & Eskimos
Well, I assume so at least. I’m leaving this evening for a flight to Seattle. But my stay will be short as tomorrow it is off to Anchorage, Alaska. Yep, I’m excited… it is for work through.
However, in the past couple of days I’ve been told that the mosquitos in Alaska are the size of birds. I assume the Alaska Tourism Commission has kept this sinister secret from me just like the Australian Tourism Commission kept their traps shut about the Fly Swarms From Hell before my trip there two years ago.
I do hope I run into one of these guys though…..
Hopefully I’ll be back into the blog routine more this week since I’ll be at hotels in the evening.

No, it isn’t Congressman William Jefferson (though one could go into that, too)… It seems that the securities firm that was just indicted for 20 counts of perjury, bribery and obstruction of justice is a major Democrat contributor, to the tune of $2.78 million since 1999.
Isn’t politics fun?

Bruce, safe travels! But you needn’t go to Alaska to see mosquitoes (Dan Quayle spelling) “the size of birds” –come to northern Michigan on any summer day and we’ve got some mosquitoes here that are often mistaken for bald eagles by the tourists. And biting black flies, too. Think of it as a chance to relive your visit Alaska and Down Under without the long flight.
