The truth is that a significant majority of Americans do think Iraq under Saddam was involved in 9-11. Just like many think the Russians helped to asassinate Pope JPII… another truth the Left tried to discredit for years until the Bulgarians said, “OK, you caught us but the KGB made us do it”.

Bush’s approval rating has everything to do with a souring of MSM and American public opinion on the post-invasion experience in Iraq… not on anything remotely truthful.

Atta, as we all know, was the ringleader of the 9/11 terrorists. By connecting Atta to Saddam’s intelligence service, Cheney is specifically linking Iraq to 9/11. Of ocurse, the Prague story is never actually confirmed in spite of Cheney’s claim that it had been. No wonder that in September 2003, nearly 7 in 10 Americans believed Saddam was likely involved in the 9/11 attacks.

Speaking of the loony left, the NYT is peddling the 9/11 conspiracy theorists once again. This time, they’re providing coverage of 500 of the wackjobs gathering to peddle their theories……

Incidentally, I’m not too suprised that AOL has a story like that. You see, the Iranian President said the same thing in his recent letter to Bush. I kept expecting someone in power, or even the MSM such as FoxNews to actually note that the Iranian President both wants nuclear weapons AND is out of his fucking skull crazy. But so far, I haven’t heard a peep.

[Well, some conspiracy theorists do actually believe the president said Iraq was involved in 9/11 while neither he nor any member of his Administration has said as much. --Ed.]
