Tony Snow Smackdown of Momma Sheehan
White House spokesman Tony Snow has said that neither Bush nor his staff plan to meet with Sheehan.
“I would advise her to bring water, Gatorade or both,” Snow said when asked about Sheehan during a press briefing Friday. “Honestly, when you’re talking about the kind of issues that we’re talking about, Cindy Sheehan hasn’t risen to the level of staff meetings at this point.”
By the way, is Cindy’s on-again/off-again “hunger strike” on again? Cuz she sure ain’t losing any weight.

She makes such a wonderful poster child for the antiwar left. She has to set back their efforts everytime she opens her mouth!

Cindy sure as hell isn’t getting a warm reception in Crawford; turns out that she bought her “land” there via a third party – and if the Texas Atty General is smart, he’ll investigate this perpetuation of a fraud in real estate.

Bruce, Tony Snow should have been press secretary from 9-11 on. And there are more than a few in the Cabinet who could benefit from a spinal implant or some B-12 shots or some wit.
Tony Snow was a great choice!

Oh, yes! Make a snarky comment about the woman’s weight. Classy!
(I just love the tone on this blog. Don’t like a woman’s politics? Call her fat or a cow.)

I don’t think she needed to go on a hunger strike in the 1st place. She looked anorexic to begin with. I just wish she would eat a hamburger every once in a while. For her it would have to be a “Tofu Burger” because she is one of the hippie hold overs from the 60′s.

Anonymous, rather than complain about the tone here, why don’t you sally, sail, skim, slide or slipover to the DemocratUnderground or DailyKos where they routinely refer to everyone from Justice Roberts to Karl Rove as being gay or Nazi… or Bush as a chimp… or Rumsfeld as a liar.
Oh yes, love the duplicity from guys like A-nonie-non who hurl insults faster and with less accuracy than a Katyusha rocket fired from the backend of 98 Ford Ranger. I love that sneering contempt of theirs.

Matt, why does the Democratic Underground determine what is right or wrong for you?
Actually, Matt’s point wasn’t that they determine what is right or wrong; he was simply pointing out that you seem more concerned with our tone than theirs, which is incomparably worse.
In short, if crime is what concerns you, there is far more of it taking place there than we could ever manage here, even if we tried.
But, if you stay here, it will be an indicator that you have a double standard.
Your choice.

A-nonie-non, as a source of the 2nd greatest number of deletes and edited comments by Bruce, I would offer you that I’ve found Bruce to fair, judicious and conservative –fancy that– in employing the red pen.
I’ve also found Bruce, Dan and others to be unafraid of any opinion –or debating that opinion on its merit. The problem usually comes when the opinion is neither fact nor informed… just spew.
I, for one, am happy with the editing choices. Keep that red pen ready, Bruce… you’ll probably have to use it on me one more time this eon.

Instead of snarky remarks about her weight, I’ll take on Mama Moonbat regarding her makeup…or lack thereof. Why do leftist ex-flower children still try to look so hideous? I’ll gladly send her my extra supply of Clarins Institute skincare. That central Texas sun won’t do her any favors…
Same things with Kim Gandy of the NOW gang. Did you see her behind Lamont last night? Ewww…..now she’s the kind of woman who made me switch in the first place!

#14 – Monty, that was a JOKE. Laugh. HA HA HA. You can do it.
Peter’s Principles of Conservatism #52 – Liberals have no sense of humor. That’s because everything they see is through the lenses of white guilt, shame for being who they are and an blithe attempt at making everyone else as miserable as they are.

Evidently you didn’t seem to care to acknowledge my smiley face as denoting humor.
Sorry to have made you so defensive and self-conscious about your post.
You may now carry on with that very hilariouly sharp wit of your’s by further deriding Kim Gandy’s looks.
Gotta love that Repub sense of humor.

Okay, monty, I didn’t realize you were joining in the joke. Mea culpa.
My only excuse is that it is a reflex action of mine when presenting humor in the face of people who collectively HAVE no humor. And also, in some cases, they confuse sarcasm with humor. Some small-cap type people on this board immediately come to mind…
Now, where were we? Oh, yes – hardfaced liberal women who think they can get their point across by being shrill and unladylike. Gee, where to begin…
