Okay…. we are going to try something interesting.   I’m going to attempt to “live podcast” the Emmy Awards tonight via BlogTalkRadio.com.

What you need to do is click on the icon below and then look for the “It’s Emmy Time” link and click on that.  There are a couple technical things I have to do in the next hour to make this work….. so cross your fingers.

Also, there is a call-in number where I can have guests.  The call-in number is (347) 996-3938.  I have no bloody clue if there is a charge…..so that’s my disclaimer.  Use internet phone if you can!

Oh yeah, and to make it even more likely to be a disaster….. I will be on AIM with screen name:  GayPatriot2004.   I will take questions and comments there as well.

Hopefully this will work!  Stay tuned and tune-in at 8PM Eastern time!

  4. Okay…that’s a wrap. Hope it wasn’t that bad….. commenting on the Emmy’s seemed a better concept in my head today than in practice.

Next time… I’ll have to figure out how to synch up my commentary with the actual audio/video. I wanted to do a “Mystery Science Theatre” thing.

    See y’all later!

  7. What “chick from India?” I guess you mean Mindy Kaling who is a lead writer for “The Office” and also plays (chick from Scranton) Kelly Kapoor.

    Mindy Kaling is from Massachusetts.

  12. So did she have a wardrobe malfunction or not?

  13. Boy, I thought the “PrimeTime Emmys” were a flop. The Conan was a bore; the intro pieces by presenters were mostly flat (like Selleck’s); and the stage/graphics were uninspired and tedious. At least we didn’t have an excess of the idiot Leftist nonsense that clogs the Oscars every year. And some of the non-TV “legit” actors who won clearly appeared to disdain the award –like Jeremy “BridesHead” Irons.

But I give the audience credit… when Jon Stewart’s little intro to his Daily Show nomination for Best Writers came up, he showed pics of all the evil people despised by Hollywood’s Left (Cheney, Newt, Kritsol, Barnes, etc) and they didn’t boo. I really thought they would by the end of it. Maybe it was over their shallow little brains?

Like Jon’s witty “Bob Newhart” joke… Stewart had to hold that joke like an old Lucy gag til the audience figured it out. The camera caught Colbert puzzled… then when he figured out he was “on”, the plastic smile came out in abundance. What shallow, plastic people… no wonder they call it Hollow-wood.

I think NancyP and HarryR and HowieD and TeddyK and Neddie should have been nominated for best comedy skit in a drama series… and they would have won, too!

  14. Oh, so that was the Emmy’s that I blazed past with my remote last night. I recognized there was some kind of award show going on. I watched something about snakes. Did you know some pythons can extend their epiglottis(sp?) out of their mouths so they can breathe while they’re swallowing their prey?

  15. Matt-

I noticed the same thing during Jon Stewart’s nominee video … my thought was “these morons don’t even recognize the people they hate!”

  16. Jon Stewart admitted to a Variety reporter today that he was the “brains” behind that little stunt of inserting pictures of Neo-cons when the names of his show’s writers were announced in the nomination. He said he wanted the audience to boo and when they didn’t, he was stunned.

    What a killeh.
