These are the people who VtK thinks we should be fighting with when they are in Iran, but who he likes just fine as long as they are in Pakistan or Saudi Arabia. After all, the anti-gay Islamofascists in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are our ALLIES… so lets be nice to them and give THEM a pass! Who cares if they are sending money to Osama and telling the world that Osama can live there so long as he only attacks Americans? VtK certainly doesn’t care. He LIKES them!

Here in Michigan, we used to have three prominent state senators who were well known un-outed gays –single men in their late 40’s and 50s– serving in the same Sessions over a period of 8 yrs. Sharkskin suits, dramatic floor protests, pompousness and preening practiced like princesses… they were –for the most part– a joke. They got things done to a certain extent, but they weren’t taken seriously within the Legislature and credibility escaped their grasp.
They liked their staffers to be male, young, athletic and not necessarily talented or bright. They used their power of employment to surround themselves with people who would never ever pay attention to them in a smoke-filled bar at 2AM.
In two separate campaigns, their opposition tried to use the gay issue against them in a smearing, leacherous fashion. It didn’t work. The politicians increased their base by a respectable margin each race.
I really doubt the Foley “scandal” will translate into a Democrat landslide in November… each Congressional and Senatorial race is unique. We aren’t a parlimentary system… even if the MSM and Democrats and GayLeftBorg want to forget that distinction.

I didn’t know the royal family in SA were islamofascists… nor the govt of Pakistan. In fact, I think both are working against those interests, no? Is that not what “allies” means?

The simple answer is to point out that Anonymous and his ilk apparently have no problem with states that are anti-Bush and anti-American, like Iran and Palestine, treating gays like dirt, but blow hissy fits over the alleged misdeeds of countries that are US allies.
The list of priorities for sane individuals in terms of our alliances:
1. Countries that are not flagrantly anti-American
2. Countries that do not openly support terrorism and defiance of the UN
3. Countries that uniformly respect human rights
The list of priorities for insane leftists like Anonymous:
1. Anti-Bush countries. Nothing else matters.

The focus is on the govts of SA and Pakistan. I don’t think anyone would pretend those govts are islamofascist… hell, they’re trying to quash and marginalize those elements because they are viewed as threats to power.
Islamofascist govts to my mind are like the former Taliban in Afghanistan, Iran, etc.
I’m thinking a term like jihadist gets the terrorists in better focus and is less vague.
