The RNC was quick to issue Howard Dean’s Top Ten Excuses for Refusing to Debate.

10. Dean Wants To Break A 25 Year Tradition Of Dialogue And Debate Between Party Chairs.

9. Dean Is Ashamed Of His Fundraising And Resource Disadvantage.

8. Dean Is Second Guessing Whether He Still Believes All Republicans Are “Brain-Dead.”

7. Dean Is Too Busy Debating Rep. Rahm Emanuel (D-IL), Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) And Other Democrat Leaders About Strategy For The Midterm Elections.

6. Dean Is Still Trying To Figure Out How Chairman Mehlman Fits Into His Theory That All Republicans Are “Christian” And “Monolithic.”

5. Dean Doesn’t Want To Discuss His Outsourcing Of Microtargeting Operations To Harold Ickes And George Soros.

4. Dean Is Too Busy Frantically Filling Out Loan Applications.

3. Dean Is Still Trying Really Hard To Assemble A Ground Game.

2. Dean Doesn’t Want To Use The Talking Points Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) Sent Over On The “Culture Of Corruption.”

1. Dean Hates Republicans.

I think Number 11 is that he is too busy abusing using gays to elect Democrats this fall.

  1. Now, Bruce, that just isn’t fair. We all know that if Howard Dean had shown up, he would have said something nutty and hateful, and then you and all the other right-wingers would have told everybody about it. Can you blame him for not showing up?

  2. If ScreaminHowieDean is such a good choice to lead the Democrats to victory, why is it that HarryLandSwindlerReid and NancyPelosi have muzzled him?

    I think he’s a ChickenDove.

  3. #2: And why isn’t the MSM making more of a big deal about Nancy Pelosi becoming the First Woman Speaker of the House. You would think they would be making a much bigger deal about that historical achievement.

Could it be, the last thing the MSM wants is the voting public actually thinking about ‘The San Francisco Treat’ becoming speaker?

  4. Dean is abusing gays for the election? Hello, Ohio!

  5. Wonder if the DNC would have sunk to such a new low in character assassinations if Terry “the Punk” McAuliffe were still in charge?

Then again, would the GOP be so far below in the so-called polls for anyone to care?

  6. What does it mean to be a conservative anymore anyway?

    1. Does it mean smaller government/less gov’t spending?

GWB has nearly doubles the National DEBT, in fact the entire national debt is almost completly the result of 3 republicans, Reagan, Bush, Bush…Furthermore, discretionary spending has increased during this congress by nearly as much as the Johnson Administration…some small gov’t…right?

    2. Does it mean libertarian values(stay out of my bedroom and dont constrain my individual rights)?

Congress has attempted twice to pass the anti-marriage amendment, intervened with Braindead Terri Schiavo, and attempted the flag burning amendment, and constant pandering to religious fundamentalists.

    3. Does it mean strong on defense and support for the military?

The biggest terrorist attact in American History occured during the watch of this administration and they are engaged in two wars (both of which in Afghanistan and Iraq are going terribly and may be lost) Furthermore they have actually CUT money going to the Vetrans Administration and for Vetrans healthcare…they have continued to increase the age for enlistment, lowered the intelligence minimums for enlistment etc..

They have also violated American and International law by holding over 14,000 prisoners in secret CIA Prisons where they were undoutedly tortured.

Finally, just this week Bush signed away Habeus Corpus…

  7. First of all, James, Bush is not a conservative. Intelligent people have known that from the get go. Mindless KOSsak douchebags are still unaware however.

Furthermore they have actually CUT money going to the Vetrans Administration and for Vetrans healthcare

    In FY2006, VA was alotted $28.703 Billion. For FY2007, S.Rept. 109-286 & H.R. 5385 provides $32.258 Billion. Where’s the CUT????

lowered the intelligence minimums for enlistment etc..

That would be the ASVAB test you’re speaking of. IMHO, you’d have to be dumb as a brick to “fail” it. But I digress. On what do you base your comment? Changes are made periodically, but as far as I can tell, the “intelligence minimums” haven’t changed. In fact, I found this article from 2004 which announces that it just got “a little harder”. Please tell us what your claim is based on.

They have also violated American and International law

Exactly which laws would those be? Would you site them please?

And the last thing I want to touch on is this asinine claim:

just this week Bush signed away Habeus Corpus

First of all, The Constitution of the United States of America applies to We the people of the United States. It’s not an international constitution. Never has, never will no matter how many liberal douchebags want to apply it to their terrorist buddies.

Further, Article I, Section IX allows for the suspension of Habeas Corpus in cases of rebellion or invasion to protect the public. Therefore, you can take your conspiracy theory and shove it sideways.

  8. Please cite the laws, rather.

  10. […] It was supposed to be a debate between the two current chairs of the Democrat and Republican parties respectively, but it ended up being a debate between the current chair of the RNC and the former chair of the DNC (Terry McAuliffe). Here’s the video of Today show host Meredith Viera introducing McAuliffe and Mehlman, and announcing that NBC had invited Dean on and noting he declined to be on at the same time as Mehlman. ROTFL! Too funny. […]

  11. “They have also violated American and International law by holding over 14,000 prisoners in secret CIA Prisons where they were undoutedly tortured.”

Really? How do you know people were tortured? I have yet to see one quality source back claims of “torture” with evidence besides a little waterboarding. Besides, that’s nothing compared to the treatment your “freedom fighters” give their prisoners- beheadings or slayings.

“lowered the intelligence minimums for enlistment etc..”

I am in the process of enlisting in the military. I am a recent college graduate with a BA, with honors. Yet by your standards I am as dumb as a brick. Almost how leftists always like to degrade our service personnel as “fascists” or “stupid” people only “doing it for the money.” Believe it or not, but some people still love this country.

“Finally, just this week Bush signed away Habeus Corpus”

Lincoln did the same thing. Actually, Lincoln was accused by Democrats of violating the Constitution left and right. Now they pretend to love him. The last poster is correct, though. The Constitution says habeas corpus can be suspended in cases of revolt or invasion. I know leftists don’t like to admit their freedom fighers are bad, but they consistently make it known they want to kill Americans.
