Moonbattery From The Pelosi Neighborhood
“San Francisco Values” on full display….. (hat tip: V the K)
Carolyn Abst, owner of a San Francisco architecture firm, had thought her neighbors would appreciate her attempts to revitalize and bring jobs to the cesspool known as the Tenderloin district. She was wrong.
One of her plans involves paying young derelicts to plant trees in an area that can use any beautification it can get. Locals were outraged. Matt Bernstein Sycamore, aka “Mary Hedgefunds” — a drag-queen and former prostitute who is a member of the activist group Gay Shame — sputters that homeless “youths” (i.e., runaways and budding young hobos) should not be asked to do “grunt work” like planting trees, because “It’s exploitation.”
The Tenderloin is populated largely by bums, pimps, drug addicts, transvestites, and prostitutes. Folks like Sycamore aim to keep it that way, and fear that any attempt to clean the place up might attract despised normal people like Carolyn Abst and distract from the more important issues of meeting the needs of prostitutes and providing subsidized housing to lowlife degenerates who don’t want to be “exploited” by working.
Sickamore doesn’t live in the Tenderloin anymore, but that doesn’t stop him from righteously campaigning to prevent others from making it livable. Fighting at his side is a retired stripper who claims her real name is Daisy Anarchy. Head of Sex Workers Organized for Labor and Civil Rights, Ms. Anarchy specializes in disrupting neighborhood meetings aimed at improving the area. “I’m giving voice to the voiceless,” she screams.
Nice gay role model for the rest of America to see….
Dear God, I pray Nancy Pelosi goes the way of other Communists….
And sooner, rather than later, please. I don’t want an al-Qaeda nuke blowing up my city because of the ascension to power of The American Terrorist Coddling Party.

Thanks for the tip. I understand that in SFO, Nancy Pelosi is considered a conservative.

Yup. Too Establishment. Not outsider / Green enough. Willing to at least claim to support the Afghanistan War.

The anarchists and socialists dreaming of a Dem victory are going to be as bitter and hateful after a Dem victory in Congress as they will be with another Rep victory. Dems that can actually win elections will not impeach Bush or turn America’s foreign policy over to the UN.
They’ll put up a good front for a few weeks simply for spite but they can’t hold out against the reality that little will change in our policy towards the world. Even Murtha lacks the balls to back up his mouth with a vote on resolutions he inspired.

From the way the polls are turning around in the Congressional races, I would suggest that the RATS be put on a suicide watch on November 8. If you haven’t heard caterwauling so far, you may wish to rush out and buy some cotton balls for your ears for the next two years when the RATS’ best chance to get the Congress is all for naught.

Is the Tenderloin still like you describe? Yikes! I guess things haven’t changed in 12 years. A friend and I visited San Fran in 1994 & our hotel (the Atherton) was in the Tenderloin (corner of Ellis & Larkin). Bums, whinos & assorted other body lice infested creeps were everywhere. The streets reeked of piss & alcohol, but luckily all of them were too drunk to attack you.

If the Democrats do gain control of the House, I trust that the Republicans will gracefully accept their new minority status and will pledge to work together with Speaker Pelosi in a spirit of productive bipartisanship.

Welcome to my world……..LOL.
What makes this really, really hilarious is that these are the people who whine that what people in the Tenderloin need are “jobs and opportunities to work and learn skills”…….but then characterize any attempt to actually put people to work as “exploitation”.

#11: Once people get jobs and see how much of what they earn is confiscated by politicians like Pelosi and redistributed to people who don’t work, they start to get pissed off. People on welfare, on the other hand, just collect their checks and get bussed to the polls on Election Day to pull the lever for Democrats (often many times on Election Day).

Now that’s something about which I can agree with you without qualification!

What is “Moonbattery”? Is this word part of a private language?

“If the Democrats do gain control of the House, I trust that the Republicans will gracefully accept their new minority status and will pledge to work together with Speaker Pelosi in a spirit of productive bipartisanship.”
You mean like the Democrats, that “spirit of productive bipartisanship?” Why is it that only Republicans are expected to compromise in the name of bipartisanship?
No, at least my Representative, who is in no danger whatsoever of losing his seat, will battle any encroachment of socialism in the name of entitlement programs or higher taxes. Or he’d better, if he wants to keep his seat.

A follow-up post. These ‘Gay Shame’ creepos are on the cutting edge of moonbattery.
According to the article, they oppose all forms of gay marriage because it’s part of the oppressive patriarchy.
They favor the legalization of public sex.
They ran one of their number for Mayor of SFO. Their platform included the following planks:
I am sure some people will say it’s just a joke. I don’t see how making jokes about flying planes into buildings is funny. And the fact that they are targeting people and businesses for real harassment makes the assertion that it’s all “just a joke” rather difficult to believe.

I’m a bit puzzled by the rapid segue from Bernstein Sycamore’s formulaic rantings to Nancy Pelosi and your prayers that she go ‘the way of other Communists’.
To MBS and his ilk, Pelosi is a mainstream, centrist, sell-out DINO who’s just a few ticks of the ideological rheostat from Joe Lieberman.
For that matter, that’s what they think of all out gay men and lesbians from Barney Frank on rightwards. To be fair (and balanced), MBS is generally regarded (here in San Francisco) as an ambulatory carnival sideshow, like Emperor Norton without the gravitas and redeeming social value.
Hope that helps!
