GayPatriot has joined the “Marines” team for Project Valour-IT.
Project Valour-IT, in memory of SFC William V. Ziegenfuss, provides voice-controlled laptop computers to wounded Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines recovering from hand and arm injuries or amputations at home or in military hospitals. Operating laptops by speaking into a microphone, our wounded heroes are able to send and receive messages from friends and loved ones, surf the ‘Net, and communicate with buddies still in the field without having to press a key or move a mouse.
Please remember all of our Veterans this weekend and their families who have given so much to our nation.

Bruce:
Welcome to the Marine team, and thanks so much for your support – it is greatly appreciated! 🙂
Indeed, Bruce, thank you very much.
I may be an old queen who never served and I may be a liberal cretin who y’all can’t stand….kinda like donkey snot or something….but I want to thank all the veterans who served our country…and I want you to know how much I appreciate your service to our country. I also appreciate the service our young men and women are doing on behalf of our nation. Wrong as the policy is surrounding their service, decisions they did not make, I do appreciate what they are doing under the most difficult of circumstances. The great sacrifices of blood, limbs, and lives are not sufficiently rewarded by mere thanks, but it’s all I can do at this point. Having lost so many friends to AIDS over the years, I’ve often felt that the only people who could understand what I’ve felt in loss were soldiers. However, for those who are the survivors of AIDS
deaths there is no Veterans Administration or thanks of a grateful nation.
And while I feel great loss because of the disease that has ravaged our community…I know that those who have suffered in war, have lost their lives in war, have provided me with the freedom to be a liberal fuckhead if I want to be. And I am. Thanks to all who serve and all who have served.
