I’m not sure that’s the first time “He’s Not My President” was used, but it sure was done remarkably.

You give Ollie North far too much credit.

As much as people wanted to protest Bush, they were not crazy enough to vote for the typical anti-military, anti-religious Democrat. People may dislike the President, but that doesn’t mean they want to elect people who agree with Cindy Sheehan and send terrorists money and support.

So the Dems put up candidates who were a) more in line with normal peoples’ beliefs and b) were naive enough to believe that Pelosi, Schumer, and Emanuel actually valued their opinion.

Pelosi gave them a rude dose of reality this week:

Pelosi invited freshmen Democrats into her office, and her opening line, delivered with a steely smile, was, “Before we talk about your committee assignments, let’s talk about the leader’s race.”

And this was for a secret ballot, where, in theory, she wouldn’t know who voted for whom. But it was to make the point clear that Pelosi will tolerate no dissension and will punish people who don’t do exactly what she says — including people who voted against the corrupt Murtha.

Only in NancyP’s case, she’s playing both parts to the mirror. No other actress would be “beautiful enuff” to share the stage with that political diva.

This is the more truthful statement I’ve read on the internet since the election.

Slowly the bad news will reveal itself and the Republicans who didn’t vote have no one to hold to account but themselves. Those Republicans that voted for the Democrats are in the same boat. Good luck with that, we’ll see how that works out for ya!

Several people have said, several times, that a Dem win this fall makes it less likely that the Dems will win in 2008 on the national level, and that if Republicans held the Senate and House that the 2008 race would be more difficult.

Americans like balance.

More than what? I don’t have the numbers in front of me but didn’t dems win about 25 house seats, 9 senate seats, state legislators, governorships, and perhaps about 3,000,000 more total votes?

The best thing to do is just hand over the microphone and let Pelosi and her fellow Democrats show the world what they support — like banning JROTC in schools and using race as a factor in assigning children to schools.
