Well, Carl, to be quite honest, expecting a gay leftist in good standing like yourself to speak up when a gay conservative is being namecalled is an act of optimism on the level of panning for gold in your bathtub.

In short, apologize when you fail to do something you were expected to do, not when you fail to do something that you never really had any intention of doing in the first place.

I wonder how many nations throughout history have suffered defeat and lost sovereignty due to internicine battles. Baseless unity is worthless, but is there perhaps anything we in this forum can learn from their examples?

It’s a cheap shot. Not based on anything Barney Frank has ever said or done, but based on the idea that gay = female. And it shows the double standards of many who would pass a kidney stone if “gay leftists” said the same thing.

The idea that all gay men refer to themselves and each other as women is something that belongs somewhere in 1970. If people here really want to break away from old views of the gay community, as they have said, that’s a good way to start.
