Reminds me of a Twilight Zone episode where a hip, groovey beatle-haircut guy dies and is put in a waiting room… supposedly on his way to Hell for all his indiscretions. In the background is nothing but MUZAK.

After 10 minutes, he’s ready to move on to Hell to escape the waiting room boredom and when he asks the Devil for a faster way to Hell, the Devil smiles and exits saying… “Who said you weren’t in Hell already?”

Watching the View or CNN would be my private Hell. Thank God we don’t allow male-bashing chick shows in our home.

Actually, forced watching of ‘The View’ should be considered torture in any decent country.

What was Operation Desert Fox about?

Bill O’Reilly (who has been devoting more and more time to celebrity fluff as Fox News’ ratings slip) was criticized by one of his own guests for spending so much time Thursday night on Smith’s death. His response was that that’s what the viewers want. If true, the country has dumbed down much faster than I thought.

I wait for the next lunatic rightly to talk up how our gov does not tortue or how its cool when Jack Bauer tortures.

Since you probably read the NYT, wouldn’t you find it ironic that their own news story about the same incident said that the officials did not violate any laws or mislead Congress in that same report? And given it is in the NYT, wouldn’t a liberal treat that as gospel?

Better yet, let’s look at a more recently updated story in USA Today (another liberal bible), which states unequivocally that the Pentagon’s leading inspector general CLEARED former policy chief Feith of allegations by some DEMOCRATS that he misled Congress about the basis of the Administration’s assertions. Yes, those ALL CAPS are mine to prove a point.

But what of that “faulty” pre-war intelligence? Well, let’s go back to 2004, when the Washington Times clearly outlined through former Clinton Defense Secretary William Cohen that his boss, Slick Willie, first linked Iraq to al-Qaeda. Got to protect that Clinton legacy, you know.

So the facts remain the same. Clinton knew, the UN knew, the Allies knew and the President knew. So much for the “dubious quality” of evidence.

I guess we should start asking questions like… Why did Clinton get the pre9-11 intelligence all wrong? What did SandyBerger stuff down his pants to escape discovery on that question? Where are all those “human shields” when Saddam needed em most… at his hanging party? And why haven’t the Dems captured Osama bin Laden yet?

And why are gas prices so high if it was “all about oil” as your side claims in the “claim of the week” bait and switch game?

An investigation by the Pentagon’s inspector general has found that civilian intelligence analysis meant to support the Bush administration’s case for going to war against Iraq was “reporting of dubious quality or reliability.” The Washington Post reports that the US Defense Department findings also say that this prewar analysis gathered by former Undersecretary of Defense Douglas Feith supported ” the political views of senior administration officials rather than the conclusions of the intelligence community,” but also says that these actions were not illegal.

Shame, really. People might have started asking more questions too.

Can’t we dismiss it from our own lives? I mean, when did I last care what or who LarryKing had on his show? I’d rather be tied up with manilla hemp, size 31 with a rough-cut twist but no filler, blindfolded (latex please and no chin strap), gagged (ok, you know that drill) and left to listen to endless recordings of Rosie’s past comedy acts than have to endure an A&E biography on ANS, a People pictorial display of ANS’s funeral or hearing one more “journalist” like Greta inquire as to whether ANS’s breast implants present a risk to the groundwater supply when she’s buried and begins to decompose.

Come on. Let’s leave her in the ME’s morgue and move on.

On the day after 9/11 - or even in the first 3 years after 9/11 - did anyone seriously think we would go this long without another attack? All those Democrats who voted for the wars sure didn’t.

But here it is, over five years and no attack. Which means: much of America thinks it can go back to sleep now. And wants to. And has. Mark Foley in the last election cycle - what the heck was that? (Hint: nothing.)
