HEY! Watch it. How would you feel as a gay man if a female grabbed your butt? Heck, I would scream and scratch too.

My cat GiGi has been blocked from seeing that video…

cats hate bright light, maybe the lights from the camera crew uspet the feline?

Cats are fabulous. One of mine is on my lap right now watching the hcokey game with me.

I don’t get it, exactly. It was plain and obvious the cat wanted down; paws spread, eyes darting about looking for a way down, body squirming to get out of the death grip the evil human had her in. Dogs bite, cats scratch, Great Whites swallow you whole. It’s Nature. 😉

I have it on good authority (my dog Reilly) that cats are spawns of Satan, lulling people with their cuteness until they strike. Evil bastards.

I like cats but I wouldn’t go near one making that racket and I certainly wouldn’t try to hold on to it. That reporterette is lucky to have escaped with her face.

#9 John’s dog is right, though. One night my golden retreiver was outside barking up a storm (he seldom barks) so I hurried out to see what was wrong.

At the top of the fence was a cat sitting there casually cleaning his front paws with an occasional look at the dog. The cat was enjoying every minute of it.

The reporter said she wasn’t a cat person. If she was, she’d probably have known to drop the cat before it scratched her. I do feel sorry for her. That had to have hurt like mad.

I am continually amazed at the ignorance of many of my species…….hearing the sounds from the arm ensnared feline would warn any semi-intelligent species that trouble was forthcoming (forget the lights, cameras, and most likely offensive smelling perfume). “I’m not a cat person”…………such a lame excuse………; well, I guess I’m not a “female” person. LOL!!!

Cats aren’t evil; they are natural Republicans. They are tough, individualistic and, like the one in the video, will put up with only so much being held down before they unleash their fury on anyone trying to nanny them. Go Cats!

Oh Jim, you’ve drunken the kitty kool-aid my friend. You’ve been warned. Be afraid, be very afraid!

You have to give the reporter credit for telling the truth. She’s really not a cat person. My skin got gooseflesh well before the attack. I could hear it coming. Any cat person could have told her the cat was being generous in it’s repeated warnings that an ass-whuppin’ was on the way if she wasn’t let go.

    “I want down.
    I want down neow.
    Hey…EVIL NEWS LADY…put!…me!…DOWN!!!”

Clear as day to a cat person.

Cats are from the pit of hell and those who call themselves “cat people” are their brainwashed minions.

Post #16 is exactly correct. Cats can and do give plenty of warning, clear as day.

Large cats do too. In 2004 a crazy man in Taiwan decided he was going to convert the lions to Christianity. He jumped in the lions den and started preaching.

The eventual outcome was the lion bit him on the leg. The video is mesmerizing to watch, not because of the gore, but because it is obvious the big feline showed a great deal of patience, compassion, and empathy.

At one point during the video when the cat rises to confront the crazy man you can see a look of puzzlement on the lions face. He literally had an expression that said “What the hell is wrong with you?”

The lion realized he was dealing with a mentally ill man. Don’t ask me how the lion knew, but you can see it in the progression of events. The lion went up and gently, yes, gently smacked the crazy man on the arm, ripping off his coat. Before that happened you can see the lion look left, look right, and then kind of look down. It appears the lion is looking for a different solution and finds none. The lion did a couple of false charges, and then the lion would back off and observe the man for 15-30 seconds to see if he would voluntarily leave.

It became obvious to the lion after a few attempts to scare the man away that it wasn’t going to work, the crazy man kept taunting the lion, so he reluctantly did the only thing he could to protect his pride. He bit the man on the leg hard. But even after that, the lion backs off yet once again.

It was well within that cats capabilities to inflict wounds much worse than he did. That lion could have just immediately jumped up, charged, mauled and the whole thing would have been over in less than a minute. But the lion chose not to. He showed a great deal of restraint, compassion and empathy and tried every other option he could.

Our yellow lab, Barley, says the only good cat is a dead cat. Our chocolate lab says they taste like chicken. I’m not arguing with either.
