Slow Blogging?
Looks like both Bruce and I have been quite busy these past few days so we haven’t been able to update the blog. I have a lot of little things to get done today, but should manage to find some time to post later this afternoon. Until then, I’m sure our commenters will have something to say — as some of you don’t need our words to launch into angry diatribes against Republicans.

Would love a GP post on Imus. Is such a thrill to see a liberal jabbed by the PC crowd. Will be interesting to see if he crawls to the shadows like conservatives are wont to do. Or he just shrugs it off like Jackson, O’Donnell, Biden, etal. To see people grovel for saying dumb hateful things is so interesting. And to have to bow to Jessie and Al Sharpton?? You got to be kidding?

This is interesting. Re: An upcoming debate at Oxford. On the right, a conservative who opposes gay marriage but supports civil unions; on the left, a man who thinks homosexual behavior merits a death sentence.

I dont get a thrill from this. Political Correctness is going to kill us.. by dulling our minds… by increasing tensions, by silencing people.
No, i’m not happy or glad or anything that this has happened to Imus. The Right to Speech is under assault by the Left aginst everyone and it is unrelenting.

An open thread? Cool! In that case, I’ll remind everyone about the news that Ron Paul was invited by Nancy Reagan, and has accepted, to be part of the first Nationally-televised Republican primary debate.

GPW, maybe you could talk about that subject when you have time again.

Gene–What Imus said was pretty stupid and offensive. But, Sharpton’s reaction was ludicrous, especially his refusal to accept the talk show host’s apology.

Don Imus getting spit roasted by liberals reminds me of his comments about Coulter… or Gibson… or BillBennet… and others.
But best of all, it reminds me of the time in ’88 when journalist and card carrying Leftie Carl Rowan, the anti-gun activist from the WaPo’s liberal establishment, pulled a handgun on a pool intruder at his plush DC residence and threatened to shoot him for playing in Rowan’s pool. LOL.

And as for topics… I’d love to hear a post about the upcoming 400th Anniversary of America’s settlement by white, English settlers at Jamestown. The King James I charter is 400 years old next month.

Speaking of Rosie, did you hear that she actually stood up for Imus in the guise of “free speech” on The View?
Methinks the Big R is concerned about her own gluteous maximus being fired for saying offensive things about Christians, Asians and 9/11 conspiracy theories.
Hey Rosie – get a clue. The concept of free speech has to do with government authority; it does NOT guarantee us that we won’t be harmed by our words in any way.
I know this is a strange word to the libtrolls out there, but there is such thing as accountability for our words and actions. This has nothing to do with the freedom of speech guaranteed in the First Amendment.
I also have to wonder – what would Rosie’s comments be if it were Rush Limbaugh’s free speech at risk?

And in another instance of celebrities uttering slurs within earshot, when is Jason Wahler going to be sent to a re-education facility?
Funny how this one flew under the radar…

I’m in a very non-creative funky mood lately. I just haven’t felt like blogging.
My apologies.

Oh, okay. Since you usually write with a modicum of grammar and style and never engage in lower-case-comment fragments, I thought it was a troll. Mea culpa.
And besides…when you mention Hitler, Hillary immediately pops into my mind. So I guess we’re even.
