Jim McGreevey: Ethics Professor

Just when I thought I had heard everything…..  (h/t – V the K)

James E. McGreevey, who resigned the governorship under a cloud of scandal, has a new job teaching law, ethics and leadership at one of New Jersey’s public colleges.

McGreevey is now an “executive in residence” — a combination teaching and consulting post — at Kean University in Union, where he is earning $17,500. The former governor came on board without any announcement on Nov. 1, Kean officials said, and the university makes no mention of his role on its Web site or faculty directory.

Oh I don’t know…. just speculating….. but I think Kean University is getting ripped on the deal by about $17,499.99.  Because a penny is just about how much Jim McGreevey knows about ETHICS.

V the K has some more thoughts:

What’s Next, Don Imus hired as Diversity Coordinator? Mark Foley hired as Director of Youth Programs? Cynthia McKinney for Director of Campus Security? Rudy Giuliani as a Marriage Counselor?

Hey, if Nancy Pelosi can promote herself to Commander-in-Chief of the Military, why not?

How about John McCain as First Amendment Protector?  Osama bin Laden as Christian Camp Counselor?  Harry Reid as Brain Surgeon?  Al Sharpton as Racial Purity Policeman?  (oh….. wait……)

  1. Another example of how the liberal universe stands on it’s head and tells the rest of us we’re upside down. That new planet they found would be a perfect liberal haven! I would gladly give up a year’s salary to help ship a couple of them off – starting with acadamia.

  3. Truth be told, I fully expected a similar story about the Conservatives’ former posterboi Tom DeLay being hired by some whacked reactionary political institute to be a guest speaker on campaign finance reform. It’s no less bizzare than a scumbag like McGreevey doing ethics.

Hell, if JimmyJunkYardDogCarville can become a “respected pundit” or ChrisMatthews an unbiased journalist, why can’t McGreevey lecture students at the former Newark State Teachers College on ethics? It’s not like the best & the brightest will be lining up to get into his class… the top three notable graduates from Kean are local TV station meterologists, for cryin out loud.

Hey, if McGreevey can do the ethics thing… then maybe red-white&blu conservative Duke Cunningham can help teach the inmates how best to get your presidential bills all nice and clean in the laundry? How to finance that $4.5m mansion while earning $185k/yr? How to dance with corruption and still smell as good/bad as Murtha?

Or maybe Scooter can teach a Dale Carnegie course on managing entries in your DayTimer? Jury selection expert? Maybe he can train defendants on how to woo a jury?

For me, it’s like proposing Harry gReid or NancyP co-teach a course on Presidential Powers. Or Slick Willy advising corporations on improving Internship Programs for aspiring females.

    Or… oh, well, nevermind.

  7. Jon Stewart of Comedy Central teaching humility to radical Lefties? AlGore instructing students on reducing their carbon footprint through energy conservation? AndieCooper as a guest lecturer on “Emotive Journalism: They want to feel your heartbreak.” LarryKramer on how to win through reasoned discourse. How about NJ Gov Corzine as a drivers ed instructor?

McGreevey on ethics… I wonder what text he’ll use?

I wonder if he’ll only give oral exams?

I wonder if this is Kean’s way to balance a longstanding social inequality… because now a male student can sleep with the professor to get the “A”.
