Al-Qaeda Leader Killed In Baghdad

Wait… I’m confused (again). Senate “Leader” Reid, Not-My-House Speaker Pelosi, and their traitorous lapdog Jack Murtha want to retreat from Iraq to get out of a civil war and instead focus on “fighting the terrorists” (their words). So how can THIS be possible? (Via CentCom email).

BAGHDAD, Iraq – Coalition Forces killed a terrorist leader and detained three other suspected terrorists during an operation in Baghdad June 5 to disrupt a bombing network in the city.
Intelligence reports indicated the targeted building in the raid was a residence known to be a safe house for the targeted individual.

As Coalition Forces were securing the targeted building, numerous suspected terrorists attempted to flee and were detained by ground forces.  One terrorist made continuous hostile attempts to evade the ground forces and refused to listen to instructions given by the interpreter with Coalition Forces.

Coalition Forces, responding in self-defense, engaged the terrorist, killing him. Three suspected terrorists were also detained during the raid.

Muhammad Mahmud ‘Abd Kazim Husayn al-Mashadani, also known as Abu Abdullah, was the terrorist killed during the raid.  He was a known al-Qaeda emir in the Hay al-Jamah area of Baghdad and part of a deadly vehicle-borne improvised explosive device cell.  He was positively identified as Muhammad Mahmud ‘Abd Kazim Husayn al-Mashadani by associates and individuals detained during the raid.

Maybe Pelosi and Company are talking about another Iraq??

  1. well its easy for Pelosi and Reed to not point out the good cause most of the news papers and tv reports don’t want too. For them to admit that we’re winning the war on terrior would be admitting that the President has been doing things right, and we can’t have that. But that why we have other avenues to report the news. so that we don’t have to listen to them and what they want us to think, instead of using our own minds and think for ourselfs.

  2. Not only that, but al-Qaeda is getting IED’d. But “the surge isn’t working” and we need to get out of this “civil war” and jump right into the Darfur “civil war”.

Bring the troops home indeed. When they complete the lib’s international Meals On Wheels social programs, then MAYBE.

  4. (From that ABC story) Sickening Left-Wing Moonbat Post of the Day:

“How it looks to me, remembering all the blabla about U.S. “daisycutters” and bunker-busters, and shock and awe, is that anything the Afghanis can get hold of to throw back at “the U.S.” is just A-OK.

“It’s not a crime to fight back against Cheney-Bush. On the contrary: it’s starting to look kind of heroic.”

  6. Perhaps that’s the key, TGC, Bush should tell Pelosi et al that our forces are only there to help set up social programs. Perhaps they’ll change their tune then and become more supportive. As for the dead al Qaeda leader, that’s good news.

That’s the thing. Our soldiers ARE doing that. You wouldn’t know it looking at the liberal media though. We could ship out of Iraq tomorrow and blitz into Darfur, but the liberals would still hate his guts.

It woud be the S.S.D.D. They would raise all mighty hell because we invaded a sovereign country etc. Remember, they were all for invading Iraq right up until the moment a Republican president actually did so.
