John Edwards is possibly the strongest, most electable candidate the Democrats could put up in 2008. Bill Richardson is also a very strong, electable candidate. I am presently undecided between the two of them. I will never vote for a Republican who panders to the Religious Right, which is way too influential in the GOP. I hope the Republicans lose the White House in 2008. I am glad they lost control of the Congress in 2006. The American people spoke very clearly then and will do so again next year.

Did I miss something. When did right wing church goers threaten to cut off the heads of gay men? Or threaten to kill us in other ways. I don’t discount the odd nutt case. But comparing conservative or libertarian church goers to the islamo fascists is quite the stretch.

I lov liberals. Rudy is blamed for putting the emergency response center in the twin towers. If a small building was blown up by a truck bomb, they would have said “why didn’t he locate the emergency response center in like a large building that could have withstood an attack, like , like the twin towers.” They just aren’t serious people.

#14 I meant to say that I figured that “gay” as “lame” was worse, really, and I’d definitely say something. The teens I generally am exposed to don’t use it, however. I know that my daughter, who speaks to more random teenagers than I do, has taken others to task for the usage.

Characterizing things like clothing as “gay” and meaning “homosexual” might be bad, but I think that usually it doesn’t imply much either way about a person’s opinion of homosexuals or homosexuality.

Ah yes, the old “Everyone who works for Fox is anti-Democrat and hates us” thing that Bill Clinton tried on Chris Wallace.

Which collapsed when they found out that Chris Wallace is a registered Democrat.

Furthermore, as an evaluation of donations by journalists showed, Fox, which allows its employees to make political donations, had people giving to both — unlike other media groups, who were overwhelmingly Democrat-only.

Both Joe Solmonese and Melissa Ethridge have publicly stated they oppose Republicans and will do everything in their power to elect Democrats. They are completely anti-Republican and have deliberately done everything they can to smear and publicly bash Republicans — while supporting Democrats who support the FMA and other things that they previously screamed were “homophobic”.

I have a “gay sweater” question.

I was watching (sort of in passing) some show where hair stylists go and work at someone else’s salon and the one guy who owned his own place went to work at a swanky place and he didn’t dress right so the one, obviously gay, guy said he had a load of clothes in his car to take to Goodwill and they made the other guy go look through it and change into something else.

So he comes out in this shirt that was nice but obviously not what he was comfortable in and he says, “So they make me wear this gay lumberjack shirt.”

Was that homophobic?

Is that worse, using “gay” to actually mean “homosexual”, than using “gay” to mean “lame?”

Republicans say “No thanks” to a “debate” with two partisan “moderators”, both of whom, aside from not being journalists or having any such ethical background, have regularly expressed nothing but hate and contempt for Republicans, and sponsored by an organization whose sole goal is to “become a steady source of funds and grass-roots support for Democrats—more akin to a labor union than a single-issue activist group.”

Meanwhile, when confronted with the possibility of real journalists asking real questions on a Fox News-televised debate, the Democrat candidates run screaming.
