Chris Wallace Delivers Major Smack Down To Bill Moyers

I saw this yesterday on “FOX News Sunday”… and wanted to record it and upload it to YouTube myself.  But then I realized I was lazy and figured someone else would probably do it because it is THAT good. I was right! (h/t – Powerline)

ENJOY!

  1. Moyers [said] that Rove is reportedly an agnostic…
Rove replied that he is an observant Episcopalian…

Wey-yell… Maybe Moyers got it right after all ;-) (just kidding)

My initial response was also “There’s a difference?” ILC.

  3. Catholic (Roman): You Episcopalians are just Catholic Lite… Catholic-without-the-guilt.
Episcopalian: No, we’re what you Romans would be… if only you could get 2 good Popes in a row.

  4. again kidding :-)

And be sure to NOT get me started on Unitarian jokes. (Q:What do you get when you cross a Unitarian and a Jehovah’s Witness? A: He knocks on your door, but can’t tell you why.)

  5. I caught that on FOX as it happened. I have to admit Chris Wallace’s credibility with me rose several levels. He let Moyers have it as well he should. I wish the Republican party would respond once in a while in the same manner to empty allegations instead of remaining silent which accomplishes nothing other than fueling the hatred of the liar. Good job Chris!

  7. And let me get this straight, FOX News and Fox are the networks so biased that the whimpey Democrats won’t show up for a debate on? Fair and Balanced. Pretty simple. Are there any Fox journalists that have been caught fabricating stories or articles? I don’t recall any, but I could be wrong.

  8. Excellent point, Gene.

And benj, if you recall, Wallace also made Bill Clinton stammer last year about his claims to be “laser focused” on bin Laden during his term. Not only did Wallace reveal the legendary Clinton “Purple Rage”, but he also caught Clinton in a lie about ordering bin Laden’s death…. the facts of which were disclosed last week in the damning CIA report which also showed what a mess George Tenet was.

(Request for a GP’er to provide a link to the CIA report! :-) )

  10. I do have to point out, Lutherans are Catholic Light.

1/2 the ceremony, 1/3 the guilt.

  11. What I like about Chris Wallace is he actually listens to the guest and asks logical followup questions. Instead of just rambling or asking a list of questions 5 different ways….he tries to have conversations.

  12. I wish the Republican party would respond once in a while

    Amen!

It gets so tiring standing up for people who wont stand up for themselves. But if they do stand up for themselves, both the Democrats and the media (redundant i know) will come down on them like a ton of bricks, distort the facts and make them look guilty anyway. (can you say Gonzales?)

  13. The fact that Rove is agnostic or episcopalian doesn’t matter to me. I find it interesting that Wallace ignored the more serious point of how Rove used hatred against gays (ie the gay marriage referendums in several states) as an issue to bring voters to the polls to vote for Bush in ’04. At the least the well has run dry on on that topic for now, but I’m sure we’ll see conservatives use another hot button topic of hatred to get those voters out to the polls… maybe gay adoption or the ever popular immigration topc will do it next year. At least it’s an open field next year and the Republicans won’t have to work so hard at keepin the idiot incumbent in place.

  14. he didnt and we already eviscerated that moronic attack. do try to keep up.

And I love how u socialists think enforcing the laws already on the books is racist! lol. There goes your credibility on any law enforcement issues.

My idiot incumbent beat both your idiot candidates in college performance and electorally. (beat your entire idiot party twice for that matter) :)

  15. Oh and we’re still in Iraq, so hes beaten your idiot party there too, your idiots havent been able to move one piece of their communist agenda forward, so I guess hes beat you there too, and the surge that your idiots claimed was a failure is working, so thats another one, and of course his approval ratings are twice as high as the Dem congress’ so I guess hes got you beat there too. :)

kinda takes your credibility on matters of intelligence and obliterates it doesnt it?

  19. “…but I’m sure we’ll see conservatives use another hot button topic of hatred to get those voters out to the polls…”

…you mean, like liberal hatred of George Bush? Or liberal hatred of Israel? Or liberal hatred of Christians? Or of gun owners? or…
