They were at the UN. Kind of makes you wonder about the UN inspectors. They couldn’t keep track of WMDs at their office, so how are they going to tell what is what in Iraq Dangerous Iraq chemicals found stored…

In order to trust the UN weapons inspectors, you have to trust the UN.

It’s very hard to trust the UN when the persons who have direct control over what the inspectors are doing, aka Kofi Annan and his minions, are on Saddam Hussein’s payroll lists.

It’s even harder to trust the members of the UN when their government bureaucrats, banks, and nationalized industries stand to lose an immense amount of money in contracts and past-due bills for military equipment from Saddam Hussein’s removal, as did Russia, China, and France.

In short, there was ample reason to make sure that any weapons Saddam had were overlooked and made to vanish as quickly as they possibly could be.
