Bureaucracies are staffed with government workers, most of whom are too incompetent to be employed in the private sector, and many if not most are unionized. Whenever the socialists take over a segment of the economy, they get a new voting bloc and new union dues paying members. The primary function of unions these days is to launder contributions, voluntary and otherwise, to the Democrat party.

Which is a big reason why they are so greedily eying health care. 1/7 of the national economy. Also a big reason you don’t see the socialists pushing for tort reform, no matter how much the trial bar rips off its victims. Those huge donations to the DNC are protection money.

They claim the Bushes are a crime family, but no one has ever devised a better protection racket and extortion scheme than the Democratic party.

Democrats support welfare programs because they know that, given the choice between working and not working, people will choose the latter — and doing so, they then are enslaved to the government and helpless. The Dems state bluntly, “Elect us, or you won’t get any welfare; you’ll have to get a job and work”.

But, truth to tell, the left treats everybody as children. The S-CHIP expansion being pushed in congress would define people as children up to the age of 25. WTF?

It begs the question of whether lefties project their stunted emotional development onto everybody else.

The socialists say, “It takes a village to raise a child.” In their mind, the village is Washington, the child is you.

The fact that the President visited Anbar, and the additional fact that he received a warm and enthusiastic welcome from our fighting men, triggered the usual hysterical rage from the libtard left. They prefer to consider the American soldier a victim and a child. The fact that these children/victims have had the audacity to bring Iraq back from the brink of disaster is bad enough. The additional fact that they seem to like their Commander-in-Chief is almost too much to bear for the libtards.

Simply put, the libtards will be hard-pressed to find any way to dispute the amazing progress in Iraq. If the Dhimmicrats are smart (big assumption), they will stop trying. Look for their rhetoric to change from “It’s a disaster – bring the children home” to “The mission is almost accomplished – bring the children home.”

And that is why Bush’s call for “possible troop reduction” is being met with additional howls by Those Who Must Not Be Named.

You mean the one the liberals want to “negotiate prices” (read: gut) so that medications that seniors need are stripped from the formulary? The one that enjoys 80%+ approval from seniors? The one that veterans are switching to so the medications they need are covered as opposed to the VA?

“Ordered”! Such a benign and expressive word denoting grace and humility. How does one get a job as Mr. Plowman’s special assistant? It would be so rewarding to be his dog yearning for an organ rupturing kick from the master.

And for the record, I can’t think of a single conservative who has flung a quarter of the excrement towards a polarizing Dem like Obama or Hillary that has been flung at the President. If you can name at least one, let me know.

Look at some of the pics at how proud our soldiers are to be posing with their Commander-in-Chief. No matter how many times W has made me mad with his hare-brained schemes (No Child Left Behind, Immigration et al), he still makes me proud.
