Left-Wing Lesbian Has Crush on Ahmadinejad?!?!?!

When Hugh linked this post on the DailyKos where a Jewish lesbian, confessed having A Little Crush on Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, I quickly e-mailed Bruce, telling him that this was “beyond parody” and that I couldn’t find the words to express my stupefaction. Once again, I was rendered speechless by the far left.

Yeah, the writer “sallykohn” does acknowledge that the anti-Semitic supporter of terrorism would “probably have [her] killed.” She even notes that there “are certainly many things about Ahmadinejad that I abhor.” All that notwithstanding, she gets “turned on” by this guy’s “frank rhetoric” because he’s “calling out the horrors of the Bush Administration and, for that matter, generations of US foreign policy preceding.

Then, she goes on to favorably “fisk” his May letter to President Bush.

So, she’ll discount all this terrible things that this man has said and take him seriously because he, like she, hates George W. Bush!

She takes this man’s rantings quite seriously even contending that while “Ahmadinejad. . . has flagrantly trounced due process and the rule of law in his own nation is still way ahead of Bush on this point, too.” Way ahead of Bush? Sally, had someone posted a piece in Iran, claiming that Bush was way ahead of the Ahmadinejad on any issue, the blog would most likely be shut do and the author locked up. While you, after posting this nonsense, will remain free to continue to criticize the president in this and other forum (just as many other left-wingers, angry and otherwise remain free to protest the president).

She goes on to ask, “Could it be that, to the Bush Administration, one of the most dangerous things about Ahmadinejad is that he is calling the Bush Administration out?” Um, Sally, it’s because the regime this guy heads calls “Death To America,” trains terrorists to attack the US and provides bombs to terrorists to kill America soldiers while attempting to build a nuclear bomb.

But, today, “when Ahmadinejad speaks at Columbia University in New York,” Sally’ll be listening. Guess she wasn’t listening he called for wiping Israel “off the map.” For in her post, she cites only the Ahmadinejad’s May letter, noting that “He doesn’t call for violence against Israelis.

It seems that when listening to Ahmadinejad, Sally hears only what she wants to hear. And she sure does like that guy’s frank rhetoric in calling out the really bad guy, George W. Bush.

Amazing. In response to Michael Barone’s query about why Lee Bollinger would honor with an invitation to speak at Columbia “a man who heads a regime that executes homosexuals–not just excludes them from military service, but hangs them by the neck until dead, in public ceremony” Glenn Reynolds wonders, “Because Ahmadinejad doesn’t like Bush, and that covers all sins?

For Sally, that seems to be the case. She even has confessed a crush on the guy because he asks tough questions of the man she really hates. Amazing. Simply amazing.

Hey, Sally, Bush has been president for over 6 1/2 years and he still hasn’t killed you, locked you up or even shut down your blog. And you and your ideological confrères have been criticizing and otherwise badmouthing him for at least that long–and will, I expect, continue to do so. Doesn’t that say that the guy might be a little better that a man who, in your own words, would “probably have me kiled“?

Well, at least Sally acknowledges what a number of us have long observed, that for all too many on the left, Bush hatred trumps all. Even the rantings of a man whom, she acknowledges may well kill her if he could.

Welcome Hugh Hewitt and Michelle Malkin readers!! While you’re here, take a few minutes to explore the web-site that has been called “ the most reliably conservative gay blog on the Internet.”

UPDATE: And yes, this left-wing lesbian did say that the man who presides over a nation which hangs gay people and regulates women to second (if not third) class status is quite possibly “cuddly enough to turn me straight.”

UP-UPDATE: Linking this post, Davo Grande comments:

Oh, don’t worry… she knows he’ll probably have her killed, but she’ll take that chance rather than accidentally be seen to support Bush indirectly by opposing his opponents.

After all, how crazy can a dictator really be if he says Bush is wrong and evil? Doesn’t everybody think that?

UP-UP-UPDATE: In writing about Sally, Snarky Bastards quotes Eric Hoffer who wrote, “An American’s hatred for a fellow American (for Hoover or Roosevelt) is far more virulent than any antipathy he can work up against foreigners.” Read the whole thing for some other commentary on Ahmadinejad’s visit.

UP-UP-UP-UPDATE: Looks like Sally’s not the only one at the Kos who has warm feelings for this America-hating lunatic. a “Richard Cranium” is upset that Scott Pelley of CBS’s 60 Minutes was “believably scary in asking the questions he asked” of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. He goes so far as to call such frank questions “a masterful Goebbel-esque . . . on behalf of Dick Cheney and the drums of war.” So, when a deranged leader who would kill a Jewish lesbian asks tough questions of the president of a country which has a free press, that lesbian falls for her. But, when a reporter asks tough questions of that lunactic leader, his performance is “Goebbel-esque.” You can’t make these things up. Just more evidence for the notion that for the left Bush-hatred trumps all (H/t: Dean Barnett who has more.)

UP-UP-UP-UP-UPDATE: Another kosite weighs in, Roseeriter says that the Iranian president “ain’t such a bad man” (Via Dean Barnett who has more).

UP-UP-UP-UP-UP-UPDATE: So, if Sally is really interested in listening to her cuddly Mahmoud, Simon Barnett provides a summary of some of his sayings (Via Hugh Hewitt).

UP-UP-UP-UP-UP-UP-UPDATE: Gosh, these Kos-folks really get all uppity when anyone asks tough questions of their man Mahmoud. Thomas C is upset with Columbia President Bollinger for taking on the tyrant:

As an American, I was stunned and embarrassed by Bollinger’s harangue of Ahmedinejad. It was a craven and cowardly capitulation to political pressures, and unworthy of the academic institution that Bollinger represents. . . . Bollinger’s behavior was inappropriate. It presented to the world the face of an ugly and bullying America. I am utterly humiliated that Bollinger should have behaved this way.

I’m sure they’d be cheering if someone introduced President Bush by comparing him to Hitler and asking similarly tough questions (Via American Digest via Instapundit).

  3. Michelle,

Are you not aware that you are currently serving as a volunteer puppet for a group of folks that is using people such as yourself to further their personal agendas, abuse every privilege they can get feasibly trample, exploit every resource and population they can manipulate, and support a plethera of unethical business practices? Have you peeked behind the curtain, read between the lines, or glanced at the big picture? This is the group you help enable to make forein policy as rogue and undiplomatic as it has ever been in this country’s body of work. You know, people that benefit from you adamently and irresponsibly telling half-truths to anyone naive enough to accept them. While in the meantime, they profit and benefit from your conveyence of a skewed reality driven by fear. These are the very “allies of yours” who spend not a nanosecond of time or thought concening your existence?

Personally, I hope that you have really been duped. The only other alternative for your sheepish support for these people of poor moral character, could be that you know exactly the type of agenda and propaganda that you are spreading. If this is the case, it would be awfully damaging to your case for ANY good karma from here on out. Souls cannot be purchased, only sold.

I’ll I’m saying is that the wrong is always wrong, regardless of circumstance. It might be a good idea to look a little deeper at the scene that you’re a part of analyze what has taken place and continues to take place around this globe. Just a peek and go from there….

  12. It’s like I always say to these leftist wackos, but they never seem to understand–

    THEY’LL KILL YOU FIRST!

Bin Laden said it repeatedly– it isn’t the fact that we’re a nominally Christian nation, or that we have more Jews here than Israel. It’s the fact that we are DECADENT, that we sell porn and that we curse in public and that our women are undressed temptresses and that our gays are given special consideration…..

The stuff the left has made normal over the past fifty years is the stuff bin Laden hates, and is the reason he wants to kill us.

And judging by the woman-covering, beard-checking, religious-law-enforcing, gay-murdering, freedom-stealing, student-imprisoning, satellite-dish-destroying regime of Ahmadinejad, he’s as much the anti-decadence guy as bin Laden, even though they represent different wings of Islam.

Now, here’s someone who KNOWS he’ll “kill her first”, but she STILL can’t make herself stand against him because it might mean Bush might get a break.

Deranged. Twisted. Suicidal. And totally dedicated to avoiding reality at all costs.

  13. Yet another example of the contradictory and suicidal ideology that is modern liberalism. When confronted with a monster who would persecute and/or kill her for being:

    1. Female
    B. Jewish
    3. Homesexual

…she finds common cause and sympathy with him because he spews the honeyed words of Dubya hatred and America loathing. If Adolf Hitler came back from Hell and wanted to speak at Columbia, would she have a crush on him, too, as long as he scolded Dubya?

I blogged over a year ago about how, as counter-intuitive as it may seem, people interested in the rights that liberals traditionally claim to protect needed to vote for the Stupid Party because liberals would surrender to the Islamofascists while conservatives would fight them.

Despite all the noise the Right makes about wanting to ban gay marriage, abolish abortion, and prosecute the futile War on Drugs, they aren’t likely to to actual cramp anyone’s libertine style. (It’s funny how the Left shrieks about Team Dubya being a theocracy while turning a blind eye to real theocracies based on Sharia.)

  24. Sally, thanks for doing your part to set the image of Gays people back to the stone age.
We already know that women are simpletons who are only ruled by their emotions. And now here comes a lesbian who finds one of the most evil men in the world cute, because he reminds her of Kermit the Frog? (oh yeah, and he hates our President).
Sure, this useful idiot will be drinking wine, and actually thinking of having sex with a man, who would kill her instantly simply for being a Western woman, let alone lesbian and Jewish.

Lee Bollinger probably thinks that this completely exonerates him – see even Sally is more open minded and accepting than all those stupid Americans who want to protest his ‘right’ of free speech.

Once again, on the left is all about emotion, reason is irrelevant, and after reading Sally’s ‘fisking’, it is amazing how these people can rationalize anything. Shall we put 2 and 2 together? Many women are attracted to perceived male power, or “alpha males”. The fact that Ahmadinejad could and would kill Sally K and wipe out the 2 countries she ought to care about, is likely the very thing that makes him attractive – whatever her “official” rationalizations about Bush.

Oh, don’t worry, I wouldn’t dream of claiming women can’t use the power of reason and morality to overcome their tendency here – just as men can use reason and morality to overcome their urge to screw around. 52. Really though, isn’t this just another example of spoiled lefties in free societies in thrall of brutal dictators? The left loved Stalin in the 30s, and still reveres Castro and Chavez. And the more these brutal thugs grip their populations in their iron fist, the more western lefties swoon.

It is a sick, disgusting spectacle.

  53. This is nutpicking (picking one idiotic statement and using it to erroneously tag anyone who disagrees with you). Its dishonest.

Would you like the same scrutiny of Free Republic’s posters? The same people who met with Cheney this week? I didn’t think so.

  56. By throwing a delusional hissy-fit, Sally has attracted a lot more attention than she deserves – just like the Iranian guy. This is what Sally and the Iranian guy want. On the other hand, a Screamfree parent would let them both blather on in their crazy way, but make sure they suffer a consequence. In Sally’s case – you would ignore her. That would hurt her terribly. With the Iranian guy, you let him think he is getting away with murder for 30 years and then you hit him really hard – preferably just before you leave office.

  65. It really is a shame that you guys aren’t smart enough to figure out that Ahmadinejad isn’t the first most powerful man in Iran. Or the second. Or the third, for that matter.

And why aren’t you at all concerned about those who denied the Holocaust while it was happening, but are all twitchy when it no longer makes a whit of difference?

[Um, before you talk, you better learn about those whom you criticize. We had to write a long paper in our junior year American History course in high school, devoting a full year to the project. I wrote about how FDR could have done more to save the Jews. –Dan ]

Maybe you think that being unable to ‘win’ in Afghanistan or in Iraq, the solution is to unite the battlefields by dragging in Iran too?

[It’s not the US who is dragging Iran to war, but Iran which is the more bellicose. Just do as Sally says and listen to Mahmoud. –Dan]

No offense, but that’s just too gay.

  68. The left is plenty capable of working up a frothing load of hate when they want to, and they chose not to do so on the occasion of the visit of a brutal America-hating tyrant who executes gays and women who resist rape. I think that speaks volumes about who they really are.

  69. #65,
“And why aren’t you at all concerned about those who denied the Holocaust while it was happening, but are all twitchy when it no longer makes a whit of difference?”

The holocaust “no longer makes a whit of difference”? That, in essence defines a key difference between conservatives and liberals. BTW: most of us weren’t alive during the second World War, and I’ll wager you weren’t even alive during the Vietnam conflict. Maybe you should brush up on your math and logic skills.

  73. 70: I sincerely doubt that Sally doesn’t exist because that would imply that they needed to “create” a person who would unapologetically write such a Riefenstahl-esque post to start this controversy. The DailyKos membership is busting at the seams with ignorant Jewish lesbians more than happy to publicize their repugnant views. Check out the photos of all the anti-American…er…anti-war protesters at HotAir. Any one of those fat, ugly bitc*es could be Sally.

  75. Bush is trying to stop Ahmadinejad’s nuclear proliferation which is in direct violation of UN restrictions so that Israel will not be destroyed and so Americans (including the gay ones) won’t be nuked. Yet everytime Bush even mentions the growing danger in Iran, the Liberals start screaming that he’s planning “another Iraq.” Bush is the only one doing anything about Iran and Liberals (especially the gay ones) criticize and oppose him at every turn. If Liberals truly condemn the grotesque human “rights” policies of Iran, they should start supporting his efforts to rein that psychopath Ahmadinejad in.
