Idiot of the Week Winner:JOHN EDWARDS
Someone tell me why feminists, normal women Democrats (hell, all normal women in general) aren’t up in arms with how John Edwards responded to Hillary’s “misty-eyed” moment yesterday??
Edwards offered little sympathy and pounced on the opportunity to question Clinton’s ability to endure the stresses of the presidency.
“I think what we need in a commander-in-chief is strength and resolve, and presidential campaigns are tough business, but being president of the United States is also tough business,” Edwards told reporters Laconia, New Hampshire.
So Edwards pretty much said: “You see, a woman can’t be President.” It was a disgraceful, yet typical, Silk Pony moment.
I actually sorry for Hillary Clinton yesterday. It must be crushing to know that you and your husband are being soundly rejected.
But Edwards stepped over the line and should be soundly rebuked by so-called liberals.

I am stunned to hear you of all people fall into the, “if you criticize a person of X group, you must be biased against X group.” He questioned a person’s strength, not her gender. He said nothing about women in general, nor did he hint at it.
In essence, you’re taking Steinem’s approach, that it’s allll sexism’s fault? Will wonder never cease. I guess if it comes to insulting Democrats, even victim and identity politics are fair game.

TP — If you think for one moment that Edwards wasn’t being all cutesy and using code-speak to send a “woman isn’t up for the job” message — you haven’t been around politics.
It was pure code language.

Save your pity for something more genuine. Hillary’s reaction was how a child feels when he discovers he has been written out of an inheritance.
She was all misty over the fact that she really, really did want to be queen. She had it all perfectly laid out in her mind and now she has been deeply disappointed. Woe is she!
You are right, Hillary, it just isn’t fair. It was your turn for the jet and the “Hail to the Chief” and all the ASAP. Now what? Where will you turn for your fawning line up of sycophants? (Or is it psychophants?)

Sexism aside, Edwards was right.
The question is, by saying that, how can one expect to get liberals to vote for you?
Liberals are all about feeling over substance or thought. Which is most likely why Hillary did this. There’s no coincidence when it comes to the Clintons.

For the record, I agree with both #3 & #4.
But just imagine if a Republican would have made the statement Edwards did.
The MSM would create hell to pay!

Sorry, I am not moved by Hillary’s tears. This is a woman who has spent years throwing the f-word at various lackeys and minions… people who can’t fight back. I think her tears were about as genuine as Bill’s tears at Ron Brown’s funeral.
Edwards’ comment is spot-on even though he’s certainly not fit to be president.
I can certainly understand tears after a tragedy like 9-11 or Okla City; tears from being in the presence of maimed soldiers at Walter Reed; tears from reading a story about a Medal of Honor citation.
Hillary’s tears were for Hillary.

I think I can say I feel her pain with the same sincerity as Bill.

No, what Edwards said was “You see, Hillary can’t be President.”

Edwards is a fool, an embarrasment, a flashy child’s toy for the highschool dropout crowd. To say that he is unfit to be President is the year’s #1 understatement. hillary is so narcissistic, she should pursue the dictatorship of a cental american nation, not the presidency of the united states. obama, with all his unknowns, is the only Dem that doesn’t make my skin crawl. John McCain will be an easy choice against this lot….
