Hey, I am proud to have been a Romney supporter from the beginning. It is over. Stop bashing the guy. I think that all this flip-flopping against fellow Republicans is a negative legacy of campaign 2004. We used it against Kerry, it was so easy, but forgot that some Republicans and yes, Democrats change. Remember, the Great Man, Ronald Reagan was a LIBERAL DEMOCRAT! If we followed this model, then Reagan could have not gotten the nomination in this climate. Now, Mr. Romney will have as little as four years to have credentials as an all-around conservative. The other thing. What has bothered us about Sen. McCain is the fact that he has gone out of his way to cut deals with liberal Democrats on their terms and issues. Now, he speaks at CPAC when he NEEDS us. Romney was there last year and this year. And, he will be back. I welcome both Romney and McCain back into the fold!

Um, LibertyDC? I think one many dead-on points he made in his suspension of campaigning speech --fyi, there's still the convention and his pledged delegates to ponder-- is that Mitt garnered over 4m votes to McCain's 4.6m votes SO FAR... and that if McCain didn't have the votes of non-GOPers to claim (like unaligned independents and fraudulent Dem voters playing election mischief) McCain wouldn't be where he is...

No matter how you sneeringly spin it, Romney's involvement IMPROVED the campaign and he was the only one to run credible opposition to McCain... too bad the state parties weren't able to screen out those non-GOPers from primary tallies.

"Slick willie" is it? With conservatives like you, it's no wonder the movement is either stuck on EMPTY or FreddieThompson.

How in THE hell is this a good day for Republicans?
Are we going to go the Log Cabin route of bending over and grabbing our ankles for the liberals?

Just WTF is so great about being stuck with McCain? Seriously. I really want to know.

Why was Laura Ingram the person to introduce Romney?
Couldn't they find an elected person or someone with real clout.
If you run for the Republican nomination, pile up 275 delegates, winning
11 states and get a talk show host to introduce your concession speech,
it says a lot about why you lost.

If I were one of Romney's sons, I'd be mighty-pissed at the "Spinning Weathervane" right now.

..."Thanks Dad....40 million-dollars and all I got-left is a trailer-load of Romney-2008 t-shirts"
