Will Dems’ Gay Super-Delegates Determine Nominee?

February 15, 2008 by GayPatriot

In the ultimate example of identity politics, sexual segregation and pandering….. the Washington Blade reports on the “self-identified gay superdelegates” to the Democratic National Convention.

Twenty-one openly gay Democrats have been identified as super delegates to the Democratic National Convention in Denver this summer, and 12 have declared their support for presidential hopeful Hillary Rodham Clinton.

As of this week, just two of the gay super delegates had declared their support for presidential contender Barack Obama, while seven were listed as undeclared.

Will they be part of the “superdelegate solution” to a contested nomination?

How this election is turning out so far is just serving Hillary right. You just watch: she won’t even care if tons of people will be witnessing her power grab & change-the-rules-in-midstream credo. Her quest for raw power will be exposed & most Dems won’t care because they’ve come to expect it from the Clintons. The DNC made an agreement to freeze out the Michigan & Florida delegates. So be it.Â

It is going to come down to political party hacks and bosses who will decide the Dem nominee. No Question. Will they choose affirmative action or the same old corrupt machine. Imagine if you will, that this scenario were proceeding on the Republican side. The outrage amongst the press. The spitting and cries of undemocratic fascism. Pennsylvania Republicans should be considering switching for our primary Apr 22. A vote for Obama is a vote to sweep away the corrupt Clinton machine. Hillary said her nomination would be wrapped up Feb 5th. If she can’t get this right, is the country going to trust her to with the whole country?
