#27 No it's bullshit. I am concerned about the climate and about pollution. I don't worship Gaea.  That's just absurd. Keep it up and continue pushing all the moderates to the left. You are seriously in the minority on this issue (as you are on Iraq) and if you continue to argue along these lines you are going to lose even more support from the public.

As Eleanor Roosevelt so wisely said, "It is better to light one little curly lightbulb than to add to the curse of global warming by burning an oxygen consuming, pollution spewing candle." We just had a birthday party with a cake with 66 curly light bulbs in it. Our guest fainted trying to blow them out. Afterwards, we had a game of toss the curly light bulb. The EPA has declared the place a toxic site. As I understand it, a HAZMAT team is going to carefully encase it concrete. They also discovered a jar of jam in a cupboard that was beyond the expiration date.Â

>I wouldn’t be surprised if global warming alarmists start blaming earthquakes and volcano eruptions on global warming

Here you go:

http://www.anorak.co.uk/global-warming/181327.html

The UK Earthquake Was Global Warming

THE earthquake that rattled cupboards and shook windows was part of - it had to be - global warming.
As Laura Blood says:

At 12.54pm the West Midlands, North Yorkshire and London was hit by a Earthquake …

Explosive volcanic eruption and tectonic activity are the two main causes of earthquakes. But with all the talk about global warming and how its effecting the environment isn’t this a sign that we really have to start leading greener lifestyles. Our erratic weather is starting to take real effect.

And a comment on Anorak by Sylvie Pollard:

Some scientists are worried that because the poles are melting so fast, the sudden release of pressure on the titonic [sic] plates is causing more slippage. This has been especially noticeable in Alaska, where over the last couple of years there has been an unprecidented amount of seismic activity.

Global warming alarmists have become my least favorite political subgroup, which is really something considering how many truly vomitous political causes there are these days. There is never any end to their sanctomony. People may find certain members of the religious right sanctimonious, often for good reason, but by and large, the religious right has nothing on global warming alarmists when it comes to sanctimony and hypocrisy. And usually when a member of the religious right gets revealed to be a big hypocrite (e.g., Ted Haggard), he gets kicked out of the movement. Members of the religious right feel such pressure to ostracize any member who conspicuously fails to measure up to the values they profess. But when Al Gore's house uses ten times as much energy as the average house, and when Laurie David says,"Yes, I take a private plane on holiday a couple of times a year, and I feel horribly guilty about it. I probably shouldn't do it. But the truth is, I'm not perfect. This is not about perfection. I don't expect anybody else to be perfect either. That's what hurts the environmental movement - holding people to a standard they cannot meet. That just pushes people away."...they still remain respected leaders of the global warming alarmists. There's hypocrisy on both sides---religious right and environmentalists, but environmentalists are a lot better at getting away with hypocrisy. (The same is also true of John Edwards' fight against poverty, but I digress.)This winter has been abnormally cold up here in Minnesota. It's sad that I have to root for unusually cold winters in a state for which even warm winters are cold, but I have noticed that the global warming fanatics are a bit quieter when the windchill is -20. But of course, global warming fanatics have found an excuse for cold weather: it too is caused by global warming. In fact, everything is. Have any tornadoes in your state lately? That's global warming. Have no tornadoes lately? That's global warming too. Is it raining where you're at? Global warming. Is it not raining where you're at? Again, global warming. Heck, at this point, I wouldn't be surprised if global warming alarmists start blaming earthquakes and volcano eruptions on global warming, and it's all the fault of George Bush and his big oil friends. One thing about global warming alarmism and religion---I don't think it's true that almost all of them are anti-religion. Many of them are in fact sincere Christians or sincere in some other traditional faith. I think many of them are misguided in their beliefs about global warming, but I do believe many of them are well-meaning and sincere in their faith. And when Christians want to take care of the Earth (or, for that matter, the poor), that's actually very healthy and right, assuming one works hard personally for such a cause rather than sitting on one's butt and declaring that someone else should do something. I hope I can say that my own personal efforts show a love for the environment. And there are many religious environmentalists who are sincere and walk the walk rather than just talking the talk. Nevertheless, regardless of one's religious faith, it is truly annoying and idiotic how some people drive inefficient cars, travel a ton, keep their homes at whatever temperature they find most comfortable, and basically make no sacrafice themselves for the environment while having the gall to blame every abnormal weather event on George Bush. The Earth is a beautiful place. It's just too bad her most vocal advocates are such pathetic hypocrites.

Ooh , there's possible good news... the American throat-piece for Al Qaeda.. the leftist hippy from Cali, Adam Gadahn might be dead..

http://mypetjawa.mu.nu/archives/191494.php
A source tells The Jawa Report that Adam Gadahn is dead
***Sticky: Scroll down for newer posts***Is American al Qaeda member and indicted traitor Adam Gadahn dead? Shortly after a U.S. Predator drone attack killed Abu Laith al-Libi last month rumors began to circulate on Islamic message board that Gadahn had been one of those killed in the raid. Later, a Pakistani newspaper quoted "sources" saying Gadahn was killed. NBC News also claimed that it had a source in Pakistan who was friends with Adam Gadahn and that Gadahn had disappeared after the Predator strike. Gadahn's friends, said the story, were worried about him. This week a trusted source revealed to me that he was hearing from Pakistan that Gadahn was most likely dead. I asked him if his sources weren't the same as NBC? No, he replied, he had a different source of information. Then why hasn't the U.S. confirmed Gadahn's demise? Too many body parts, he said. Very little left of any one on the ground. Could take some time, or we may never have confirmation. How much do I trust the person who told me this? On a scale of 1-10, he's an 11. It's more a question of his sources than anything else. His sources seem to believe Gadahn has gone to meet his 72 virgins.

It's depressing to think that we have the idiots in Congress that we do.

There are so many serious things going on here and around the world, and we have immature naive blinded-by-hate Leftists pulling the strings.
