Will Spitzer scandal hurt Ms. Hillary?

March 10, 2008 by GayPatriotWest

With news that the governor of Ms. Hillary’s adopted home town facing yet another scandal, I’m wondering how this might impact the presidential race.

Democrat Eliot Spitzer has been linked to a prostitution ring. The New York Times reports that the governor has canceled his afternoon meetings and scheduled a 2:15 news conference. While the junior Senator of his state has not been linked (and is likely not be linked) to the Spitzer scandals, I wonder if his scandals will remind voters of the many scandals of her husband’s administration.

There is some speculation that this Clinton ally may resign.

We don’t know yet how this will impact the presidential race. It may not hurt Ms. Hillary, but it certainly won’t help.

What?  Someone discovered he was a rent-boy to pay for Law School?

At the very least, it is a big blow to Hillary.

Ouch!   Did I say that??  🙂

Why is everyone concerned about Hillary these days? Why not Obama, or the whole country when men in government cannot keep their pants on?  Why is it whenever you are exposed, you have to apologize with your wife next to you? Who are you trying to bamboozle? Since we all know that our government is truthfully immoral hypocrites, shouldn’t we be wondering the same about our Fox news hosts who points the fingers at bad guys but may be hiding similar secrets too.  Just watch their body and verbal language, they are so DEFENSIVE and judgmental.  Men dirty little secrets will not be a surprise anymore.  Whether you are a pastor, clergy man, teacher, governor, or Fox news reporter.  Where is Chris Hansen?

What the hell Spitzer? What is your problem! God, why do democrats have to do this? We had such a good thing going, you can’t keep calling Republicans corrupt and shady if one of your newly elected governors turns out to be a….John? I am really disappointed in him, considering he did support gay marriage and may have helped make it possible in NY.

    Guess not now, grrrr…

ah, Schadenfruede!  Yet again, usually when this happens to a Democrat, it is buried. Because as we all know, the only reason you can call Republicans caught in similar circumstances a hypocrite is because they stand for something. The Dems stand for nothing except their own power – they have no moral code – because everything goes.

So finally you get that strong powerful Dem who was going after corruption and illegal activity on the part of the business world.  It’s a little hard to bury this one.  Maybe he should have worked on making prostitution legal in NY first, then there would be no issue whatsoever. Since cheating on your wife is just one of those pesky moral issue. On the other hand going to prostitutes is illegal.

No, it won’t.  Hillary is not closely associated with Spitzer in the public mind, and Spitzer is despicable enough on his own, totally apart from the prostitution bit, to have a monopoly on negative fallout.

5:  I don’t agree with that…  I think a lot of politicians do a lot fo unpleasant things from both parties, but I will give that the Republicans are probably better at keeping them covered up than Democrats.  Democrats have no moral code?  gimmee a break.  Does the the name Senator Craig mean anything?  In addition, the Bush administration has regularly put the interests of business above that of the citizens of its country.

They must be really, really good at it considering that the news media is on perpetual "heightened alert" when it comes to outing wayward Republicans.
What’s funny to me is Spitzer’s use of the law to reel in a lot of people that, at worst, made bad business decisions (which, until recently, weren’t criminal offenses). Looks like he’s on the other end of the string.
Didn’t Spitzer procesuted a couple of prostitution operations a few years back (memory foggy)? He should’ve known better.
#3: If the people in gummint are "immoral hypocrites" then why are libs so anxious to turn our lives over to these cretins? And, BTW, the people at Fox News (or CNN or ???) are NOT the government. If Shepard Smith is playing footsies on the side, that doesn’t really interest me. He’s not a governor and former federal prosecutor who put people in prison.

This taints Hillary in that it reminds the public of ALL scandals tied to polititians. If only Eliot Spizer had come to the microphone and wagged his finger and said "I did not have sexual relations with that whore….." Then we could have had a side by side of Bill and Eliot.  To me this is a huge red flag that we are in desperate need of term limits on these pols. How else can you explain how a former AG who prosecuted lawbreakers, prostitute rings etc, used phone taps, etc and he gets caught up in the same type net. It is arrogance, and this feeling they are so powerful they are shielded from any responsibility and accountability. They also saw a President get away with messin with a 19 year old intern.

but I will give that the Republicans are probably better at keeping them covered up than Democrats.

Are you kidding me???? Democra William Jefferson was caught with $90,000 of taxpayer cash in his freezer, and caught making National Guardsmen rescue his belonging from his home in Louisiana after hurricane Katrina when they should have been rescuing people — he still sits in congress. The Democrats top financier George Soros is as corrupt as they come, he has been indicted and convicted by foreign governments, yet there is not a Democrat in Washington that isnt financed by him and that doesnt kow tow to his every whim. Norman Hsu, the Democrats top fundraiser was caught pushing millions in illegal campaign contributions, yet all of the recipients of his illegal contributions still sit in congress and the corruption barely even got mentioned in the press. Barack Obama is up to his big flappy ears in this Rezco business, yet the media practically refuse to talk about it, and they certainly arent investigating the issue as they would be were he a Republican. Hillary Clinton has a history of corruption a mile long from insider trading, abuse of office, illegal fundraising, caught breaking election laws and on and on, Harry Reid is up to his beady little eyes in abuse of office and shady land deals, but the mainstream media cant be bothered to even mention it. Same with Nancy Stretch Pelosi, John Murtha and on and on and on.

No, Republicans actually hold their elected Representatives accountable. And in the rare instance when a Republican actually is caught for corruption, we force them from office. Democrats on the other hand promote them, re-elect them and make them the leaders of their party.

and there is a very good reason the Democrat party is infinately more corrupt than the Republican party. Corruption comes not from money, but from power. Republicans are the party that want the government to have less power, and therefore attract the kind of people who are trying to get rid of corruption. Democrats want the government to have ever-increasing power over every aspect of American life which is why Democrats are so deeply entrenched in corruption.

In addition, the Bush administration has regularly put the interests of business above that of the citizens of its country.

The interests of business ARE the interests of the people! Businesses are founded by people, run by people, and serve people. When business does well, people do well. When businesses fail people lose their jobs their homes, and cant to afford to support themselves. Where exactly is it you think wealth comes from? Government? It comes from people working to provide goods and services that other people will value…aka business. Holy cow you libs are so dangerously delusional.

But Spitzer "didn’t have sex with that woman", right?  I also love the description "adopted home town", presumably New York.  In older vernacular, she’d be a "carpetbagger".  Yup.  Thank Christ I have a religion and am not one of those folks who have replaced Him with an elephant or a jackass.

Will Spitzer scandal hurt Ms. Hillary?

Nope. Just frees him up to be her V-Pee.

shouldn’t we be wondering the same about our Fox news hosts who points the fingers at bad guys but may be hiding similar secrets too.

Shouldn’t we be wondering about MS-DNC’s Keith Olbersmear who relies on Media Morons and ThinkRegress (who source themselves) as sources?

Republicans are probably better at keeping them covered up than Democrats.

Speaking of cover up, why is it the liberal media never identifies liberals as liberals? Gary Condit, James Traficant, William Jefferson,  Sandy Burglar, Robert Torricelli, James McGreevy, Gwen Moore, etc. Even most of the coverage on Spitzer, that I’ve seen, fails to mention that he’s a democrat.

     Democrats have no moral code?

When you quit aborting black babies, get back to us.

gimmee a break.  Does the the name Senator Craig mean anything?

Do the names I mentioned above mean anything? How about Melvin Reynolds, Jay Rostenkowski, Charles Diggs, George Rogers, John Murtha, Gerry Studds, James Green, Neil Goldschmidt, Alcee Hastings, Marion Barry, Hazel O’Leary, Mary Oakar, Henry Cisneros, Al Bustamante, James Tucker Jr.,  JERRY SPRINGER, etc. etc. etc.

Do THOSE names mean anything to you? Or do they all get a free pass? And let’s not forget Lena Swanson who shook down veterans and former POWs for cash.

Yeah, you might want to get off your moral indignity horse, there Kevin.

the Bush administration has regularly put the interests of business above that of the citizens of its country.

And you, no doubt, can provide irrefutable evidence of that, right?

Look how Kevin proves his opponent’s point. Kevin’s way of providing evidence of Democrats with morality and principles is: to provide NO such evidence WHATSOEVER. Kevin seriously thinks that the absence of another person’s morality (Senator Craig’s) could somehow be evidence of Kevin, or Democrats, possessing some shred of morality.

Here’s a giant hint for ya, Kevin sweetums: It isn’t.

"Having a religion" doesn’t mean being a spineless wishy-washy non-partisan. And being partisan doesn’t mean replacing Christ. Quite the contrary. The better you know your religion the better you know what it requires of you in all aspects of your life and the clearer choices become. And supporting Judeo-Christian principles is hardly supplanting Christ, it’s supporting Him.

If  Kevin is right about the "Republicans are probably better at keeping them covered up than Democrats," then the Democrats must be pretty gullible and blind. Oh, and the news media is biased for the Republicans and gloss over any hint of scandal. That must be it. Those Waskelly Wepublicans control the press.
