610 WIP host Angelo Cataldi asked Obama about his Tuesday morning speech on race at the National Constitution Center in which he referenced his own white grandmother and her prejudice. Obama told Cataldi that "The point I was making was not that my grandmother harbors any racial animosity, but that she is a typical white person. If she sees somebody on the street that she doesn’t know (pause) there’s a reaction in her that doesn’t go away and it comes out in the wrong way."

For there is something about Barry* that I, like so many others, find so compelling. He just comes across as a decent man. Therein lies the tragedy. I think he really is a nice guy. I hate seeing him get bashed by people who think politics should be about insults and ad hominem attacks. And I say this as someone who can't vote for him because he's a hopeless socialist.

Originally I thought Obama was at the very least a sincere man. I am now coming to the realization that he is no more than an extremely skilled and silver-tongued scheister.

He joined the wrong Reverend Wrights church because he saw it as a necessary step to gain the bonafides he needed in his 2000 race for the House of Representatives. He could not criticize Wright because last Sunday he was raked over the coals on a conference call by black leaders for criticizing Wright tooÂ much. He has stated in his own book that his style is merely a tactic that he uses because he has learned that white people will more easily accept it. He admits that he is, "a blank screen on which people of vastly different political stripes project their own views ."
And while heÂ is bamboozling Americans with his dulcet tones and empty "change" rhetoric, he is simultaneously requesting million dollar earmarks for his wife’s employer and crafting shady deals with mr rezko. He racked up a whopping 130 "present" votes in the Illinois state senate for no other conceivable purpose than to disguise his ideologial leanings. And in order to get where he is he had to have the divorce prodeedings of two of his opponents unsealed –virtually unheard of except in the land of Chicago politics.

No, Obama may come across as a charmer, but underneath it all it’s becoming clear to me, he’s really just a snake. The tough part will be convincing the American people of that when the media is going to pull out all the stops for him.

Indeed, when I did see clips of the speech on FoxNews, I thought he acquitted himself quite well.

I agree with Luntz. Orgasma spoke to the teleprompter rather than the audience.

Charming he is.

Early on I liked Barack and Mike Huckebee because they were so unlike regular pols. They seemed to act like real people not like rehearsed candidates who just pandered. But Barack at his RACE SPEECH again was just another pol. His racist preacher that he’s sat with for 20 years was a mess because of society. Even Barack’s grandmother was a racist so he had another excuse….."hey don’t blame any of this on me."

Barry is a nice guy. I thought this election was about competence. "America wants us to get things done, "is what the MSM has been parroting. If Barack and Hillary can’t come together and solve Florida and Michigan. If Barack can’t councel his family preacher to be a better human…how should we expect theseÂ Democrats to negotiate with Iran, North Korea, Russia et al? How will these Democrats solve the mid east Israel/Palestinian conflict? They can’t figure out how to count all the votes from Florida and Michigan. They can’t figure out how to seat the delegates from two of the 50 states at their little convention. Hillary and Barack can’t or won’t meet face to face and solve their parties mess up. Am I to take them seriously when they discuss Iraq? They would have done so many things differently so Iraq would have been so much better. Well excuse me. Prove it. Solve a much smaller interpartyÂ squabble before you try to solve the world’s problems. Get some street cred.Â And if your nominee is actually chosen by the corrupt, back room, old party bulls, dont’ come preaching to middle America again about how righteous you are.
