I honestly find "black" people more hung up on race and racial identity than white people. I don’t have much truck with rednecks from down in the hollows, so I may be naive. But I am amazed at how many black people want to claim the grandkids as part of their tribe. Who shives a git?

Their dad graduated in the top 5% at the Naval Academy. He wears a different color skin from mine, but the only worry he has is that someone might think he is getting something he didn’t earn. What possible good could be gained by perpetuating this type of institutionalized discrimination for another generation?

This junk Jeremiah Wright has been selling is nothing less than a lame excuse for not being competent. His "liberation theology" is the invention of a mystique over which he has control and by which he can exert final authority. It is a sophisticated version of peddling snake oil. Obama bought it. Think about that. Mr. Clean, Bright, and Articulate either signed on to the scam or he got taken. Either way, he is not worthy of  honest leadership.

Geraldine Ferraro used too much shorthand. She failed to point out that Obama was getting too many passes because the liberals and the MSM have been waiting for the Clean, Bright and Articulate African-American for a long, long time. Obama’s worst nightmare would be to wake up tomorrow looking like Joe Biden.

Would she think of him as a "typical black person"?  Or "typical mulatto"?  I don’t know her, so I suppose anything is possible; but somehow I doubt it.

Initially when GF made her comment, I thought that she was out there doing Hillary’s dirty work. But now she seems to be standing on her own two feet, saying don’t compare me to that racist.  Her original comment may have made people uncomfortable – but it wasn’t racist in the way the Reverends proclamations are.

Good for her for standing her ground. I think VDH is correct, there is something about Barry that doesn’t sit right with a lot of middle America.  His throwing grandma under the bus, and GZ highlighting that fact won’t help him.

I’m not sure what this does to the campaign, he and Hillary are still neck to neck in delegates. I guess it just makes it a little clearer to the superdelegates how they have to vote.

I sympathize, Dan.  I’ve found myself cheering on the Hildabeast to split the Dems and still am unhappy that I have to back McCain to keep these two Dams out of the White House.  What a weird campaign…

I have heard many white dems condemn Ferraro’s remarks as racist while skating backwards in terms of Wright’s ….. uh ….. rhetoric. Poor Joe Biden. ("I mean, you get the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy.") Now what does Joe have?  Obama is having trouble articulating his relationship with the master of liberation theology and Geraldine is ready to deal out the death by a thousand cuts on those who stood by while she was unceremoniously repositioned to a spot under the bus.

Not only are the chickens coming home to roost, but a few buzzards are circling around as well.
