McCrory Takes On Illegal Immigration
in NC Governor’s Race

Republican NC gubernatorial candidate (and Charlotte Mayor) Pat McCrory has a new ad up touting his success in cracking down on illegal immigrants. None of the other GOP candidates can make the same claims since they don’t have executive experience and have not made illegal immigration a priority like McCrory has.

Primary Election day is May 6. Go, Pat, go!

DISCLAIMER: I have personally contributed to the McCrory for Governor campaign

  1. I just stroked the McCrory campaign a check. I don’t know why McCrory’s stance should "offend" anyone, but I know he will be called a neanderthal by the liberal elite.

Thanks for the heads up on McCrory. This post is exactly why the net is so powerful.

  2. Is this the only platform he’s running?  It was quite vogue in the 80s to run against welfare mothers, now (not surpisingly) its illegal immigrants.  If you’re going to wage a campaign against something, be sure it’s a group of people who have no money/political clout to fight (or even respond to) you.
As I watched the commercial a few more times, I noticed something real interesting:  he says he’s against violent crime, gangs and illegal immigration as if they were separate topics, but it’s pretty clear the idea here that part of the idea is that *all* illegal immigrants out there are violent criminals and gang members.  Yes, they’re all breaking the law by just being here, but the majority of them are to try and make a better life for themselves and their families.  To sum it up, he says the real target will be the violent criminal immigrants, but for those of you with peaceful, underpaid illegal immigrant domestics, factory workers, field workers, etc, you should have nothing to worry about…

  3. Kevin, which part of "illegal" don’t you understand? The Mexicans and Haitians are the lucky recipients of geography. Why don’t you and your band of marshmallow toasters charter a flight to help "illegals" from Fiji get a piece of the action?

I’m sorry.. what am I missing? What entitles non-US citizens, who broke our laws and penetrated our border any rights whatsoever, much less the "right" to political clout?

Is that also like applying US Constitutional "rights" of due process to non-US citizens who attempt to blow us up or kill our soldiers?

What, pray tell, am I missing Kevin??????????

  5. I am impressed, Kevin, who is not a resident of N. Carolina watched that video a number of times, just to convince himself that the evil Republican is out to get the poor little guy who doesn’t have any political power.

Once upon a time we had a value system that helped us differentiate between good and bad people.  When the good people started getting the upper hand, people like Kevin come along and tell us our values are all wrong. Obeying the law, paying taxes, trying to support and protect our families first is wrong!!! Now in order to be a good person, one must break the law "illegal immigrant" or create innocent human beings to live off society "welfare mothers’.

I for one with McCrory great success, and hope that with time and experience he moves up the ranks.  Having someone like him, or Bobby Jindal from Louisiana as presidential nominees in the future gives me hope.

  6. :-)  Believe it or not, I also believe that illegal aliens are breaking the law and should be deported back to their countries (surprise).  Further, I firmly believe that people arrested for committing crimes who are discovered to be here illegally should receive immediate deportation.  I do, however, understand that the majority of these people have come here illegally because they are so desperate to have a better life for themselves/their families.  Why is it necessary to make the situation even worse to vilify all of them as violent criminals?  Truth is, the overwhelming majority of them are not.  But, I guess fear-mongering is a great way to get people to the polls.
