Or how they demand a cross be removed from a chapel at a private college while simultaneously demanding public schools provide prayer rooms, foot washing facilities, and sex-segregated gym facilities for muslims. Or how great britain has thrown their laws against polygamy out the window to accomodate muslims. Or how hollywood cant buy celluloid fast enough to make all the anti-Christian films they pump out, yet cant make a movie about terrorism where the terrorists are actually muslim instead of german or french or neo-nazi while also joining in the worldwide liberal criticism of documentaries like Fitna, that are 100% factually accurate. And on and on…
And no, it wasnt just fundamentalist islam that was out rioting in the netherlands, it was mainstream islam.

Of course there are conservatives who try to chase books out of libraries. I am still interested in your list of books chased from the curriculum by conservatives. So far, I will credit you with Heather Has Two Mommies.

Interesting stats and commentary on the topic of banned books.  It doesn’t say that conservatives were the initiators of the complaints but one look at the list gives a good idea.  Another list from 2000 had the usual favorites "Heather has Two Mommies", "Daddies Roomate" etc.  "King and King" has been challenged, I’m not sure how often that was successful.  Yes, Huck Finn was referred to as the 5th most banned book ever, but no sources that I found could support your "evil liberals" squeal.  Harry Potter books are burned regularly.   One psycho legislator in a southern state said that all books that mention homosexuality in a positive light should be gathered and buried.  One, perhaps the same one, introduced a bill to remove all such books from the schools and libraries.  The book that the Muslims wanted banned in the original post "Tango makes Three" is the current favorite to attack.  There are countless other examples but I don’t want you to have to spend the time countering it with some sin commited by a liberal. 
Your need to demonize liberals while completely denying the fact that conservatives are guilty of the same "crime" is bizarre to me.  "I know you are but what am I" was stupid on the playground and even more so coming from an adult, and horrendous to hear from a teacher.

Liberals drove Huckleberry Finn from the curriculum in high schools. It remains the greatest book for stimulating the "conversation on race" that we have. But when the political correctness police decide to brand something as being forbidden in their newspeak world, the battle is lost.

Huckleberry Finn was banned and burned by small minds who only cared about their self righteousness.

Now, I am ready for the list of books driven out by conservatives.

We did (sorta). It was called Song of the South. I checked it out of the school library when I was in 3rd grade in Mississippi. Good luck finding it in the U.S. now. It wasn’t Christians, Conservatives that got rid of it either.

And who is it that won’t let kids take a Bible to school or allow for one in the school library? Korans and prayer rugs are fine at school, but woe be unto you who takes a Bible or displays a cross.

Not that parents found sex ed at grade 5 objectionable, but that the Muslim Councils have such power in the UK these days.

There have been a number of recent examples of books being removed from the school reading list or hidden on the top shelf in a locked room in the basement rather than readily available in the library because of the complaints of conservative Christian pressure groups.  Certainly they don’t threaten physical violence (at least the vast majority don’t) but it can’t be said that they aren’t successful.

V the K, can you honestly claim that the things you mentioned didn’t happen in the fight against slavery?  Unfortuneatly Al Gore hadn’t invented the internet yet so there weren’t hundreds of sources of information uncensored by the gov’t but there most certainly was murder, terrorism and silencing commited in the defense of slavery.  And most likely on the other side too.

Thuggery is by no means a new invention, and "society" has used it quite freely as a way to hold down the minority.

I do agree that we need to stand up to the forces who would twist our freedom to match their religious beliefs, whether they be Muslim or Christian or Hindu or whatever.  And most especially those who resort to violence .
