I’m the fellow you had the discussion about misquoted scripture with and judgements. You know the one who went to the best liberal arts school in NE? The one down river from Hartford in the nice city? Lordy, I didn’t realize I was so forgettable?

I had the pleasure of having coffee with the gentleman who blogs Dallas North Thirty just before he moved to the West Coast.

Maybe I should sign this “technogypsy?”

I’m a blogger in NC and I completely understand your dilemma. I’m a former professional writer, GOP activist, former campaign consultant, and such. I gave it up to stay-at-home when my son was born about three years ago. My “outlet” is now my blog, which focuses on politics in North Carolina from a conservative point-of-view.

Sometimes readers have a hard time understanding how much time, thought, and research goes into a post. Since it’s got your name on it, you want it to be the best it can be. It takes time. I might work eight hours on two posts, uninterrupted.

Sometimes I start on them, save them and come back later, and realize my muse has left me.

I’m glad to see a Gay conservative. I used to volunteer for former senator Jesse Helms and so many people thought he was a gay basher. He hired many gays on his senate and campaign staffs and believed in getting the best person for the job, no matter what. The gay family that lived across the street from me, hated me for having a “Jesse” sticker on my car.

Sadly, so many gays in North Carolina have hitched their wagons to the liberal causes, or are moderate Republicans. God bless you sir. I don’t care who you sleep with, just the kind of person you are.

And he’s right. My blog ebbs and flows with what I am involved with personally, and — as I intend to post about later today — that often means the various impedimenta of life sometimes slow down posting.

Then there are hobbies…do I want to blog or go play mandolin, forge steel with the boys, or turn wood? Blogging comes in last normally.
