He has the knowledge that he did the right thing, and he has real people around him who love an support him. Anything Bush says at the convention will be spun by the Democrats to connect McCain to Bush. There are many in the GOP who still approve of him (Bush). Those folks may be the ones that McCain must reach out to in the GOP, if anything to keep them from sitting out this fall. On the other hand, Slick Willie's ego would never let him miss an opportunity to speak to a captive audience.
