I dont mind Donna Brazille much, as long as they balance her with a similar republican: I think she makes it pretty clear she's a Democrat operative. I do mind all the other Democrat operatives who do try to pass themselves off as objective journalists, most notably Chris Matthews and Keith Olberman who are outright Democrat hacks, yet they even moderate debates. Then there's people like Snuffleupugus and Tim Russert from meet the depressed, also Democrat hacks, but who honestly believe they are being objective, and probably believe Olberman and Matthews are objective as well.

Of course it's a conflict of interest, and I wish she'd get off the screen.

The “objective analyst” who’s stirred up the bile in my stomach the most is Dick Morris

I never considered any of the 3rd Party analysts to be objective. I realize that all of them are speaking from sort of POV. Who doesn't know that Morris absolutely depises the Clinton? However, I dont think he lets that color his opinion on her honest prospects. Maybe he wishes she would die, but he isn't goign to lie and say she will die if he really doesnt.

Much to my surprise, Karl Rove has turned out to be the most objective analyst.

Kinda makes you think you've been lied to, don't it?

I agree totally with you about political operatives presenting themselves on television or in print as objective analysts. But I will defend Donna Brazile.

She has not pretended to be an objective analyst. She's always very up front that she's an active Democrat and is in fact a Super Delegate. For the last several primaries it has been mentioned several times during her every appearance that she is a member of the DNC's Rules Committee. She is almost always introduced as having been Al Gore's campaign manager (or whatever her title was).

The same goes for Paul Begala on the same CNN panels. And the same goes for Republican Party activists sitting on the panels.

The ones pretending to be objective are the members of the media who sit on the panels or moderate the discussions.

The "objective analyst" who's stirred up the bile in my stomach the most is Dick Morris. Every time he appears on FoxNews he has trashed Hillary Clinton. The other night he was asked to comment on a matter that had nothing to do with Senator Clinton but he refused to answer Alan Colmes until he could say something bad about Clinton (which was totally irrelevant to the subject at hand).

Much to my surprise, Karl Rove has turned out to be the most objective analyst. He gets a little partisan in response to specific prodding (usually by Sean Hannity) but is otherwise very straight, providing insightful observations based on his experience in campaigns.

They put Republican members on the panel too...so I am confused on why this is a problem? They are people who have worked in politics and study it all of their lives, I think they would give good opinions for either side.
