McCain and Hillary, what a sweetheart ticket! They could reach across the aisle together and take turns nominating judges. Only Monty Python could do this concept justice. And 2012 would be a cinch with Hillary on top and McCain taking the Veep role.

McCain is looking more and more like the dog that nips at the tire of the passing UPS truck. If he catches it, he has no idea what to do with it.

Hillary is trying to shake down the Obama campaign to get them to pay her the money she loaned herself for her campaign. Even if she gets it, the Clinton way is to keep going. What does she have to lose? The Democrats would love to imagine that an Obama-Clinton ticket would bring unity. Hah! Obama would have to banish her in the same way the Kennedy machine kept LBJ attending funerals of bird watchers in the Falkland Islands.

Hillary, on the other hand could make use of Obama as her Veep. She would have not trouble sending him out as her articulate, clean, person of color.

McCain is really going to try those Hillary supporters away, you could see it in his speech tonight. He has been more gracious to her than most democrats have been, so good for him in trying to make this race competitive.

I noticed she’s been kinda decent towards him too. Did anyone else notice this?

It is ridiculous to expect Hillary to drop out at this point. This is one of the tightest delegate races in history and most of the delegates are allowed to vote for whoever they want. Delegates who supported Clinton like John Lewis, Jack Evans, David Scott, Joe Andrew, Donald Payne, Dana Redd, Christine Samuels, Jennifer McClellan, Dennis Cardoza, Kamil Hasan, Charles Pluckhahn, and Jack B. Johnson have all switched to Obama. That’s a lot of switchers!

If only a few dozen Obama supporters would switch to Clinton – which could easily happen in the wake of a scandal or even just because of growing doubts about the junior senator from Illinois’ electability – the nomination is hers.

Yes, I understand that the media is all tingly with the idea of an Obama nomination. But nobody will have won this thing until the votes are counted in Denver.

She shouldn’t concede until she has secured something for herself and her supporters. Hillary does have power and her supporters are with her, they were the ones shouting Denver and wanting her to continue. It seemed like from her rally that she had won this thing, or they were not ready…or not willing to support Obama.
