Obama & Gun Control
I guess, just like every typical American Liberal, Obama is a flip-flopper too. This time on gun control.
“If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun.” — Barack Obama, Remarks At Fundraiser, Philadelphia, PA, 6/14/08
I guess you could say that Obama was for gun control (his entire political career) before he was against it (now).
And so much for raising the bar on civil discourse for this campaign. I guess he was for that at first, but is now against that, too?
“I chose to run … because I believed that Americans of every political stripe were hungry for a new kind of politics, a politics that focused not just on how to win but why we should, a politics that focused on those values and ideals that we held in common as Americans…” –Â Barack Obama, Remarks At Campaign Event, Des Moines, Iowa, 12/27/07
Blah, blah, blah.
Obama 2008:Â Yeah, Just More of the Same.

Ah, yes. The only gun that Obama doesn’t plan to outlaw: metaphorical ones. I hope he remembers to pack the whole arsenal (and extra ammo!) when he heads over to Iran for all that “aggressive diplomacy.”

But you see, everything is always everyone else’s fault. Not the Obamessiah’s. Right? If the Obamessiah can’t carry out his pledge “for a new kind of politics, a politics that focused not just on how to win”, it’s because he is literally too good for this world. It’s McCain’s fault. Even though it was Larry Johnson and Bob Beckel who, acting for Hillary Clinton, had spread all of those Michelle “whitey tape” rumors. If you dare question the Obamessiah – in any way, no matter how factually and appropriately – you are “bringing a knife”. Don’t confuse the man. Don’t point out he has no clothes. Don’t bring in facts, ever.

Obama was against smears, before his campaign needed to practice them.

This new kind of politics bullshit is incredibly funny. Does anybody actually believe it’s anything other than the same 40 year old song with a new verse?

#4 – I have gotten the impression Houndentenor believes it, and possibly Kevin. I think Ian may “believe” it more cynically.

Obama’s Security Advisor Takes Advice From Winnie the Pooh. The infantilism of the left is beyond parody.

I thought Obama would be for people having guns…that they can cling to them and ignore what his administration does for the next four to eight years, cause thats how poor people deal with their problems, right?

Maybe he could put Tigger on as his veep.

I think the more appropriate tagline would be:
{Insert Any Candidate Here}{Insert Election Year Here}: Yeah, Just More of the Same
