Stay classy, HuffPo!
John McCain was in the navy and then he was in the U.S. Senate. He has never cashed a check a bureaucrat didn’t write. I’m not trying to be glib, and I realize he was doing a solemn and dangerous job, killing people from the sky. But it was still government work.
Wait, except for those years as a POW. A sick but undeniable fact about John McCain: The only period in his life when he wasn’t living off the American taxpayer, he was living off the Vietnamese taxpayer.
John McCain’s father was in the navy and his father was in the navy. The last McCain who didn’t live in government housing owned a plantation in Mississippi when the state still had slaves.
Which is why John McCain always sounds so emotional when he gets to this line in his stump speech:
“I am absolutely committed to reducing the size of government.”
What he’s promising is eventually he’ll die. (Huffington Post)
And these libtards wonder why people believe they hate the military and are anything BUT tolerant? Huh.

As I just told some people… I love it that these Left sickos are being so honest, showing their true colors. I just hope enough Americans will see them.

The amusing part is juxtaposing this with their whiny “you don’t support the troops” rhetoric from their so-called “veterans” bill a few weeks ago.
In other words, Democrats are demanding to give more money to people who they insist are leeches on the taxpayers.
Just like how Jim Webb waxes about his Marine son on the stump while supporting and endorsing the party of people that call the Marines “unwanted intruders” and “murderers”.

I don’t understand some people. Why is it the libs think military members are sucking up “taxpayer” dollars? Who do they think the “taxpayers” are? Don’t they realize soldiers pay taxes too? AND that we make just enough to stay at the poverty level? I’m sure the response to that would be,”Oh yeah? Well, you get free housing and free medical care!” No, we don’t. It’s not free. If it were, then we wouldn’t pay taxes and there wouldn’t be deductions out of our paychecks. If we don’t live on post, we get BAH (Basic Allowance for Housing), which never equals enough to actually live in a decent place. For example, when I was stationed in CA, I received $500 for my BAH (single soldier- NCO). My rent was over $800 plus utilities. How is that fair???
As for the medical care? Well, you can take it and shove it where the sun don’t shine. The system sucks! I simply stopped going to the military/VA clinics and paid out of pocket for better care.
I really despise people who speak about things they know nothing about. I challenge them to join the military and find out the truth. I challenge them to be on call 24/7, miss holidays, birthdays and other important family and personal events for the sake of serving their country. Most of all, I challenge them to get captured and become a POW in an enemy’s country and find out how they are really treated and then come back and tell me you had the good life!

What this proves is how acceptable and mainstream hatred of the military is on the left. Huffpo is about as close as you get to mainstream liberalism.

Who is Chris Kelly? Never heard of him before. He’s obviously one sick, hateful creep. I don’t read Huffington Post, unless something else I’m reading links to it, so I didn’t realize just how far to the left Arianna Huffington went in her quest to find friends and respect in Beverly Hills.
TRACE PHELPS JR.
P.S. The joke’s on Kelly; McCain received his full Navy salary while he was a POW and now gets disability payments because of injuries suffered as a POW. (John Aravosis at Americablog has bitched about McCain getting disability and claims McCain isn’t fit to be president if he’s disabled.)

John McCain is a courageous man and a national hero. Huffington’s man is just an insignificant little dolt that the Democrats created.

What about Al Gore? His father was supported by the taxpayers and his son followed suit. Given that they are an old southern family, I wouldn’t be surprised to find a plantation in their history as well.

AirborneVet: Slightly off-topic: one of the major reasons that care at the VA “sucks” is because it’s a gummint operation.
A relative used to be a physician at the VA and had innumerable tales of worthless deadweight - people who spend their days drawing a salary and filing union grievances against doctors and managers.
It’s to the point that the professional staff just accept these people - trying to get someone fired is career suicide.
I can’t wait until these people staff the hospitals and clinics the rest of us go to.
This Chris Kelly must be an ignorant f***

grandpa mcsame has ZERO chance of winning in November. the compare/contrast with obama is stark. it’ll be a landslide for obama and both houses of congress will be heavily democratic.
a new day is coming. you “righties” should be very nervous.

#7 - Trace, if John Aravosis (whoever the hell he is) thinks that McCain isn’t fit to be President because he is disabled, then I have three words for him: Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
Checkmate.

Peter, ref: comment in 14, John Aravosis owns the far-left, often America-is-always-wrong Americablog and is apparently a pal of Markos. He wouldn’t care about FDR’s disability because he would have liked FDR. Since he hates John McCain his disability is a liability. A consistent theme at Americablog right now is that McCain is mentally and physically unfit to be president because he’s not just 72 but an “old” 72. My opinion is that Aravosis is too mentally off balance to be loose on the streets!
Comment by Trace Phelps — June 17, 2008 @ 11:58 am - June 17, 2008
#16 - Thanks, Trace. Sounds like Aravosis is a guy I would avoid meeting by crossing the street.
It must be so sad to be so negative and so angry all the time. I pity these moonbats when I’m not laughing at them.

Also, Fox News is now alerting us that a military judge has dismissed charges against the most senior Marine officer accused of failing to investigate the killings of 24 Iraqis in Haditha.
Thank God, justice has been served.
Paging Congressman Murtha - care to retract and/or apologize for your statements regarding the Marines?
(Crickets chirping)
Just remember, Murtha - same thing happened with the rush to judgment agains the Duke lacrosse team. Look how Nifong got his come-uppance.
Just saying is all…

No doubt that was a gross and rather cruel piece on John McCain but don’t pain all of us with the same brush…we all don’t feel or talk or act that way towards the military.

you “righties” should be very nervous.
Yup, RIW, I’m nervous.
The idea of an Obama presidency with a compliant liberal Congress should strike fear in any thinking person.
A look at “progressive” governments around the world that put people on trial for what they write (Canada, for example) and that will look the other way when violent crimes are committed so as not to offend Islamist fifth columns (many EU countries) coupled with liberal rhetoric in this country doesn’t fill me with hope.
But I think Obama will lose. I just don’t think he can maintain the messiah illusion until November. There’s just no there there.
Comment by Robert — June 17, 2008 @ 9:58 pm - June 17, 2008
You must be betting on everybody voting for him because he’s black. There’s nothing else there. The pattern of the left has been to run candidates who pretend to be Americans. Snobama, on the other hand, tells you that he’s an anti-American Marxist.
Further, people won’t be able to ignore the real stark contrast in the fact that Snobama has no experience. Plus, it wasn’t that long ago we were told that our CIC HAD to have “real military” experience and trashing the National Guard in the process. Now, it doesn’t matter again.
Plus, if I were handicapped and/or a Seasoned Citizen, I might be inclined to take offense to the rhetoric you little turds are running around spewing about McCain. You just might be shooting yourselves in the foot with the senior vote. But don’t mind me. I’m not inclined to get in the way of you making a total ass of yourself.

They certainly do say its shaping up to be a Democrat year. But I wonder, RIW, if in even this, the very best possible year for Democrats, Obama loses… will you pack your bags and leave America forever? And if so, can I have it in writing?

#23 - “RIW, [if] Obama loses… will you pack your bags and leave America forever? And if so, can I have it in writing?”
I’ll go one better. RIW, if you want to leave after November 4, say the word and I’ll help buy your one-way plane ticket to Canada.
Of course, I made the same offer to Alec Baldwin, but unfortunately he reneged on the deal. The only libtard to make good on the threat to leave was Pierre Salinger, who now lives in Paris.
So leftiswrong, how about it? Deal? Or no deal?
