#6 Oh, Al has been to our local celebrity, Bill Gates, home, (among other jillionaires) and even though his net worth is a fraction of Bills, he undoubtedly fancies himself a peer of one of the richest most powerful men on earth, so I’m sure he had to have all the same sort of goodies in his home. I’m sure Al probably had to have a “smart home” like Bill’s, where the lighting, music, atmospheric controls, artwork, etc, all follow you as you move through the house, where you can talk to the home, and tell it to run the washing machine or start the car, etc. I dunno what kinda energy computers use, but Im sure that would require a hefty amount of voltage.

then of course theres the requisite heated pools and stuff. And like Bill, who had his own fish ladder installed, when you are both rich and a PC envirotool, you have to spend great quantities of money on unique architectural and landscaping features that show both how rich you are and how much you care about mother Earth — features that often times use up enormous quantities of energy and end up having a net detrimental effect, but nonetheless show how much you care.

And then of course theres the ego-stroking features that are just to remind himself (and everyone else) how powerful he almost once was. I wouldnt be surprised if he made himself some sort of “situation room” similar to teh one in the White House with a wall of televisions playing news from all over the world, video conferencing and all the ego stroking technology he could muster.

personal bowling alleys, movie theaters…. the rich can get very goofy with their homes. especially when you’re talking about a meglomaniacal Earth-saving superhero, bitter about all the power he almost had, and trying to keep up with much richer more powerful Joneses.

LOl. sorry, for rambling, when I started I thought it would only be a sentence or two. but that was kinda fun. Kind of an architechtural psychoanalysis.

The Obama campaign may not be as swift as I thought it was. Unless the only purpose of the Detroit event was to rally the black vote, why would Obama want Al Gore to make the endorsement in Detroit. Gore is almost a sworn enemy of the auto industry and his enthusiasm for Obama couldn’t have helped Obama very much among auto workers.

Actually, Peter, the fact that you’re gay is just another strike against you, for which you should be ridiculed and driven out in shame. Actually, it was the Obama campaign that asked Gore to wait until now to endorse him. They wanted to make sure they had some considerable room available under the bus to accommodate him for when the inevitable story was released of his epic hypocrisy 24 hours later. Obama’s crack team of campaign professionals would never stage such an event without first ducking under the bumper and asking Rev. Wright, Obama’s grandmother, Rezko etc. to “scootch over” and make some room just in case. It’s getting awfully crowded under there–Sandra Bullock can’t possibly keep it over 50mph much longer.

Al Gore has no worries, his congregation will send love offerings and tributes to keep his sermons flowing. They want him to live in a big house in a gated community and to zip around in private jets. It makes them admire his cause and his eminence all that much more.

Gore has tapped a gold mine in his special type of ministry and he has the bucks rolling in. Can it be long before we have an Al Gore University where his doxology reigns along with the Al Gore School of Environmental Law and the Al Gore School of Environmental Journalism and the Al Gore School of Green Business Administration and the Al Gore School of……..?

Maybe he will start wearing the Jeremiah Wright robes of many colors while doing his Church Lady of the Environment naughty dance.
