Most Boring Press Release Ever.
Haven’t we given Maine to Canada yet?
MANCHESTER, NH — U.S. Senator John McCain’s presidential campaign today announced the McCain 2008 Maine leadership team. These statewide and county leaders, representing all sixteen Maine counties, will work to bolster John McCain’s support within Maine. John McCain arrives in the state today and will campaign in South Portland on Monday at the Maine Military Museum.
Yawwwwwwwwwwn.

McCain is boring. But he’s much better than Obama. I think would make things interesting in the Chinese sense of the term.

Hey! I’ll take all the liberal-bashing you want to dish out, but I’ll fight ya over disrespecting Maine!

Southern Maine is beautiful — York, Ogunquit (what Provincetown used to be!), and Wells. The rest of the state to too big, and everything is too far from Boston.

Hey, hey. Back off on dissing Maine! Even though Maine votes “blue”, there ARE conservatives here. Here is a great website from Maine conservatives: asmainegoes.com.
Julie, about half of Maine’s population is within a 3 hour drive to Boston.

I dunno – I think I’d rather have boring than have someone with a God complex.
In his victory speech upon winning the nomination, Obama declared it a great turning point in history — “generations from now we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment†— when, among other wonders, “the rise of the oceans began to slow.†As economist Irwin Stelzer noted in his London Daily Telegraph column, “Moses made the waters recede, but he had help.†Obama apparently works alone. – Charles Krauthammer, July 18th.

#7: Didn’t you get the memo? Obama can make climate change magically disappear. He can make our enemies, who have hated our guts for centuries and have been infighting amongst themselves for even longer, stop hating us merely by throwing Iraq to the wolves. He can turn the world on with his smile. He can take a nothing day and suddenly make it all seem worthwhile. He farts candy canes and his boogers cure cancer. He is a wonderful, magical man who is incapable of error. So it shouldn’t be hard for him to stop the rise of the oceans. That deadbeat Moses needed the assistance of “God,” but we now know there is no God but Obama. All hail St. Barry, he of Hyde Park!

I think a certain household in North Carolina is asking for a hefty tariff on all future purchases of lobsters, blueberries, and, um, Stephen King novels. If we gave Maine to Canada, you know the first thing they’d do is send Mounties to Kennebunkport and turn the Bush compound into a maple syrup/methadone factory. Do you really want that on your hands, Bruce?
By the way, if I had bothered to return any of the voicemails I got about it, I too could be on the John McMaine team. Sadly I could not commit to going door-to-door and being yelled at by my tolerant, socialist neighbors. When the Green Party has more representation than the Republicans, you know you’re just wasting every vote you make!

Is this the “change” (from his site) we’re “hoping” for?

Nazis for Obama. That’s a new one.

Getting back on thread, I’m surprised that McCain is even getting any coverage since snObama is sucking up all the MSM oxygen on his “European Summer Vacation,” or as I like to call it, “Le Tour de Farce.”
In fact, only one reporter covered McCain’s recent visit with Bush ’41. And the story itself is not even a page long.
Bias? What liberal media bias? (SARC)
