And apparently NDT, not even that much is true. Dave apparently doesn’t know where his beliefs come from – i.e., who held them first, and why, and how those beliefs were developed and spread through the years by the teachers, academics, politicians, artists, commentators, etc. that have taught them to Dave – and he doesn’t care to find out.

Classic example:

And of course, these are the same people who mock as “dogmatic” and “narrow-minded” ultra-literalist religious folk who say they know where all life came from so what anyone else says about how it supposedly evolved is meaningless.

No wonder liberalism appeals to the young and the emotionally-immature. It’s like being a two-year-old; everything you say is always right, even if it contradicts itself, and anything that anyone who disagrees with you says is wrong, even if it makes logical and rational sense.

#57 Sean, are you really naive enough to thing that authors don’t use “facts” in such a way that they convey ONLY what the author wants. It would be a waste of time to attempt to explain that to you but have you heard of such a thing as “perspective”. Fox News and CNN can report the same event (a fact) but say totally different things about it. Ann Coulter writes about the McCarthy years far different than a liberal would. Events are the same, perspective is different. Is that too difficult for you to understand?

What Dave said about Liberal Fascism: “it’s simply one man’s opinion of the origins of liberal beliefs. If he uses “facts” like Coulter does then the book’s only value would be to help start the barbecue.”

A judgment expressed without ever bothering to read the book.

Then, he throws a hissy-fit because people deduce from his own words that he has pre-judged the book without reading it.

Dave, only a person with “a severe deficiency of ethics” would define “facts” the way you have above.

What Dave is so upset about is the fact that he thinks he is entitled to take whatever positions and make whatever arguments he wants, AND control the way his statements and opinions are interpreted by others. The classic example is the liberal outrage you hear whenever someone questions their support of the military. Liberals think they are entitled to collude with leftist city governments to try to run recruiting stations out of town, but expect everyone to take them at their word when they say they support the troops. They scream and bitch about American imperialism and western oppression of Muslims being the cause of 9/11, but then they gasp and clutch their pearls if anyone calls them moral relativists. They pledge unrestrained support for the Fairness Doctrine, and then scream bloody murder when they are accused of not believing in free speech.

Dave, like all liberals, wants it both ways. They want to say and do whatever they want, AND have absolute control over how their actions and statements are interpreted as well. It’s just another reason that they spend every moment of their lives in a frenzy of petulance and rage.

That’s being extremely petty in my view, but liberals are petty people.

I would like to read it but I’m not going to give any money to the author.

The “extermination” rhetoric thrown out by Kevin and Pinky Phelps is evidence in support of this hypothesis.

Since they can’t and don’t wish to change that truth about themselves, they lash out at others for daring to notice.

Still, the thing is, you don’t have to make any effort to learn about statist left liberalism because that philosophy more or less controls the press, the entertainment media, and academia from kindergarten through college. Thus, statist left liberalism is pushed on us night and day. everywhere you look. You really have to go out of your way to learn about conservatism, because the usual channels of information in this country are not going to present an honest view of what conservatism means.

Every time Pinky Phelps posts I feel even better about being a right-winger.
