Brilliant ad by the McCain campaign. It is odd that McCain is the one who is showing his sense of humor and acting like a real human being — unlike The Chosen One Himself who gets very touchy when anyone dares question his qualifications or liberal voting record. Post-political my ass.

Have you ever noticed that lefties don’t object when we call him The Obamassiah?
If they didn’t really see him like that, they’d get offended. They were offended when John Kerry is called a gigolo, or John Edwards is called… you know what… but saying their candidate has delusions of godhood… they’re into it.
The McCain camp put this out? I am impressed.
Does The Messiah have even a modicum of modesty? A sense of proportion? It would be interesting to have a psychologist weigh in.
The scary thing to me is the number of people following this guy (and I mean following in a religious sense – the way people follow Christ). They’re going to be in for a letdown when their Messiah fails to deliver the goods… when His Teachings bump up against reality.
When The Obama takes the oath in January, will he say “so help me, Me”?
That ad is brutal and timely too, considering the blowback from the recent Rainbow Tour (it’s been an incredible success…). Is this thing going to end up on TV?
Can’t wait till he gets up in front of 75,000 people in Denver. He’s playing right into McCain’s hands.
Well, I only took Psych 101. I think I can say, without hyperbole, that he suffers from Narcisistic delusions of grandeur.
Tammy Bruce put it best when she associated Malignant Narcissism with so many on the Left.

#8: “One can never lift himself up by tearing down his fellow man.”
That’s a lovely sentiment, Cecil. Right up there with “love means never having to say you’re sorry.” And like that enduring line from Love Story, your quote is a complete crock of sh*t. It has no application in the context of an election for the highest office in the land, particularly THIS election in which McCain “tearing down his fellow man” is defined as “campaigning.”
You’re going to have to do a lot better than that, Cecil.
Obama’s entire campaign is the tearing down of this nation.
Unless your “fellow man” is a racist bigot for not grabbing his ankles before Comrade Obama. One can’t begin carrying on like he’s president three months before the election either, but that hasn’t stopped Comrade Obama.
But then liberals only value elections as an opportunity to find out who the thought criminals are.
One can never lead one’s fellow man to a better place by being a corrupt, narcissistic fool.
There’s something very appropriate about Cecil using a high-sounding-but empty platitude to defend His Obamassiah.
Or by taxing him to death (same thing). Or by taxing to death the companies that work hard to produce the goods and services that enable him to live. Or by claiming that high gas prices are basically the way we should be living, they just didn’t come about in the right way. Or by any form of socialism or left-wing politics, really. One can never lead one’s fellow man to a better place by thieving from him and others – not even if you market it as social justice.
I am glad to see my McCain contributions finally paying off.
I am sending another $500 for McCain’s birthday wishes and my note will read that I will cap out $2300 allowed if you continue this line of exposure of that thing from the left they call a nominee for President of the United States along with Happy Birthday!
Now, let’s see the congressional Republicans do something viral, maybe a video showing Democrats lounging at the beach, Nancy Pelosi in her private jet, and Charlie Rangel tooling around in his Escalade while Americans pay $4 a gallon for gas… set to the tune of the Go-Go’s “Vacation.” The vid would end with a demand that Democrats come back to Washington and stop blocking domestic oil production.
So today McCain and BHO are tied in the polls. When you take into consideration the 4-5% of people who lie to the pollsters, the “Obama factor”….this race may be a blow out. Can we get Sen Obama to schedule a “tour” of like South America and other foreign lands? These trips where he rips his own country while in foreign countries seems to help the McCain campaign.
The Messiah’s new gas & oil plan is especially wonderful. The essence is as follows. He wants to increase taxes on the oil industry… in order pay for special new welfare subsidies that the masses are to spend on the products of the oil industry. Shell games, anyone?
I was going to say a lot more about it, but that sums it up. Well, I’ll say a little more. It’s the worst possible plan. It further undermines / punishes domestic oil production, while providing an inflationary subsidy on the demand side. Can you say “shortages”? How about, “gas is at $7 a gallon and still the lines spiral around the block?” The sheer stupidity of the man and his followers – never mind their arrogance – is sometimes stunning.
Oh, and I understand Sen Obama has gone back to the microphone again and now says he may be for some offshore drilling. Flip flop. I thought Barack was going to be different. Who knew the “change we can count on” meant changing every couple minutes. hehe
As I’ve always said, libtards have no sense of humor. That’s why they are so depressing to be around. It’s also the reason why Air Amerikkka is about as solvent as Social Security.
Good example – a friend took me to see Lewis Black in concert. I had no idea who this supposed “comedian” was, but it was 2 hours out of my life that I wished I had back. He was not funny, he screamed, he was downright angry and someone needs to tell the heirs of Sam Kinison that some doofus is stealing his shtick and demand compensation.
Personally, I’d rather undergo root canal over listening to some crazy libtard. But that’s just me.

Darn – another comment stuck in the filter. Bruce, Dan – please investigate. It was a good one.

Did you know that both Bill Clinton and Barack Hussein Obama are Leos…Leo the Lion in the astrological charts….Kings of the Jungle in their own minds and Egos larger then
anyone else there is (probably why they hate each other) BHO’s own words express that he believes him to be the Messiah (the “symbol” as he puts it for the world’s hope (I thought that was Jesus Christ..who knew BHO wants us all to believe he is that Higher Power…..Charles Krautheimer(sorry if I didn’t spell his name correctly) got it correct in his opinion piece that was posted here some time ago.
Re: #18: ILC, I almost bust a gut laughing when I heard the Messiah’s prescription for high oil prices. And to think that I once thought that this guy was intelligent.
Once He’s sent me a check courtesy of the nasty oil companies, He can move on to other profitable industries… perhaps He can spare me a few dollars from Microsoft’s back account.
We Americans should be proud that we’ve developed a level of ignorance so great that people hear this crap and think “hell, yes!”.
Leaving the economics aside (market forces, profit MARGIN, and all that)… It’s not your money, Barry.
Not being a “community organizer” or freshman senator with no accomplishments to my name, I am not blessed with a six-figure income, political “connections”, and a cushy retirement.
I have to live with a meager 401(k) that’s losing value even as I write this – one that’s invested in funds that include oil stocks. So The Messiah wants to confiscate some of my retirement to buy a load of votes. And He’ll probably pull it off.
Seriously, is this all that grumpy old man has to offer? comparing Obama to celebrities and Obama seeing himself as a messiah? McCain pretty much has no message and now this is all he can say about Obama. Pretty sad to go negative so early. I can’t wait to see the debates between these two. Obama will look like JFK up against Nixon in 1960 and McCain’s gonna come off like James Stockdale in the 1992.
And like McCain, the posters here have nothing substantive to say against Obama….just pat yourselves on the back and come up with as many variations of the word Messiah as you can.
I have a relative who is an extremely wealthy Republican: lots of money to Republican candidates up and down the line from local to federal, been to the White House a number of times as guests of George & Laura, runs a number of businesses that have benefited from Republican legislation, etc, etc. I find it interesting that he’s already resigned to the next president being Obama…..
Unlike Leftists.. I dont give a shit about someone’s opinion just becaue he has money.
Looks like the best the Obamassiah’s disciples can offer in defense are whiny admonitions that no one may mock the Obamassiah. I’m surprised Kevin didn’t call us heretics.
Even the Washington Post finds the Obamassiah’s resume “tissue thin and troubling.” I guess they’re part of the vast right-wing conspiracy.
25: yeah, that was a pointless comment.
#27 – Yeah, you’re a pointless person.

#24: “I can’t wait to see the debates between these two. Obama will look like JFK up against Nixon in 1960 and McCain’s gonna come off like James Stockdale in the 1992.”
Kevin, the message of the ad is that it is dangerous and unwise to invest our country’s leadership in a candidate solely because he has an appealing personality, since infallible charisma does not equal infallible leadership ability. Your statement above conclusively proves that YOU are one of the people that the ad is referring to. Your predictions about an Obama presidency are completely unrestrained–are you really that confident with the election 3 months away and the polls showing Obama with a very narrow lead?
And what about the quote above? You’re not only predicting that Obama will “win” the debates, but that it will be a catastrophic massacre of historic proportions that will leave McCain broken and humiliated. Just one question, Kevin: when have you EVER seen Obama debate a Republican on live television? You obviously have no doubts that he is a master of the format–so what’s that based on? Seriously, Kevin, when have you ever seen Obama debate a Republican? And I’m not talking about those useless debates during the nomination process where Obama and the other leftists competed for first prize in a “who hates George Bush the most?” contest. I’m talking about a REAL DEBATE–no teleprompter, no escape. What’s your answer, Kevin? Are my suspicions correct that your answer would be NEVER?
Of course, the flagrant ageism you and other liberals have suddenly decided is acceptable would suggest that you know that McCain (the “grumpy old man”) has been doing this a lot longer than Obama. However, according to you, he doesn’t have a prayer going up against Obama in a format in which you’ve never observed Obama perform. Gee, I wonder where everyone is getting the CRAZY idea that Obama supporters think their candidate is infallible?
#24: And by the way Kevin, if Obama is going to crush McCain to powder in the live debate format, why won’t he agree to the additional town hall meetings McCain has proposed? I mean, if it’s going to be such an unprecedented slaughter, why not have 5 debates? Why not 10?

Oops! Looks like I jumped the gun–at least as far as the Gallup organization is concerned, Obama doesn’t even have the “very narrow lead” I referenced in #29. In a poll of registered voters, Obama and McCain are now tied, 44% to 44%.
http://www.gallup.com/poll/109180/Gallup-Daily-McCain-Obama-Remain-Tied.aspx
I’m sure the News Media doing things like pretending Obama didnt’ call McCain a racist has nothing to do with the poll shifts.
Wow… what a bunch of rabid name-calling by most of the commenters here. Must be the lack of solutions to talk about.
Kevin’s address: Sunset Boulevard.
Reminds me of Hillary Clinton’s Sunset Blvd

I guess this is a spoof of the movie, which I have never seen.. but the clip is very funny.
One could argue that making the case that the Democrat nominee for president is an empty suit with a tissue thin and troubling resume is substantive.
Especially when said empty suit refuses to be pinned down on any positions. His latest switch, after pledging in the primary to defund NASA to pay for universal day-care, now panders for votes in Florida by changing his mind.
It’s kind of hard to debate the positions of a candidate who changes them every two weeks. At least with McCain’s record, we know he’s lying when he has election year conversions on judges, taxes, and border security.
#24 Love the leftists….Kevin mocking McCains attempts at the newest ads bursting BHO’s bubble. Those two ads have evaporated the messiahs 9 point lead. With Kevin calling them dopey, imagine when McCain really hits Barack with hard hitting ads. The govt hasn’t made them illegal yet have they? In another month BHO may be begging McCain for more debates as he tries to crawl back into the Presidential race. I always now remember the 4-5% over polling of BHO in these polls. Barack may need a long bomb, hail mary VP pick if he waits too much longer.
#37 – Gene, it’ll be fourth-and-long and snObama will get sacked in the backfield come November.
Regards,
Peter H.
The funny part is that, when you look at it, the reason Obama is the nominee is because he was virtually unbeaten in the caucus states, where the key is not how many voters you can convince, but how many of your supporters you can get to go to a pointless four-hour yelling fest in the middle of winter at hours of the day/night that are wholly inconvenient for anyone who works or has children.
In contrast, in states where the people voted in real elections, which ran all day and had plenty of hours for people who worked or had children to vote, Obama repeatedly got killed by major margins; the only places he was able to take are the ones where “vote for the one who looks like you” is still an acceptable sentiment in the black community, made worse by Bill Clinton repeatedly sticking his racist foot in his fat mouth.
The amusing thing was Democrat Bill Ritter inadvertently blurting out that his eighteen-month tenure as governor of Colorado made him too inexperienced to be VP….only to have to spin himself into a frenzy when it was pointed out that Obama is running for President with effectively only 143 days of tenure in the Senate.
The Raceocrat Party is finally getting what it deserves; after years of arguing that skin color makes up for incompetence, they are forced to defend, support, and endorse an incompetent who is using his skin color as an excuse.
#39 – NDT, would it help if we asserted that snObama is where he is right now due to affirmative action?

Peter H.
