As I was coming home last night, I happen to notice that in the Philadelphia International airport there was a marked increase in the number of people who had at least two, if not many more, of the following characteristics:

  • Angry-looking, arrogant, un-bathed, sloppy, obnoxious, self-absorbed, rude to fellow travelers, unwashed and unstyled hair, clothes that looked like they were taken from a trash dump, gays, lesbians, skinny white boys who need to eat a lot more food.

I had to assume the trek to the Democratic Convention in Denver had started early.

    I guess you’ve forgotten that Philly is right next to New Jersey. That would explain most of the phenomena you are seeing.

  2. Yes, I do notice the smell of patchouli much more prevalent here in Denver on the 16th street mall already. I thought that was just a Boulder thing so hippies so that they did not have to bathe I did not realize it would be a DNC staple ;-)

    Yea even at UC, the young republican guys look a lot better than the college democrats…its worth switching parties for.

  9. TGC and Jeb, I love it when the left calls us “wingnuts.” That is such a great compliment. Wingnuts hold things together. In fact, if you look at most globes, Wingnuts keep the Earth on its axis.

  11. O Lord. So now our political discourse is reduced to throwing high-school taunts at our opponents? Boring. Don’t get me wrong. My side does it too (proud liberal here), and it’s jsut as silly and boring. Would be nice if we gave it up but I guess we all groove to it way too much.
